Authors Note: I own Harry Potter. Yep, but only for those few hours when I'm high on glue cause I'm too poor to afford real drugs.

The alcove was tiny, musty and dark. But it was safe. He held her, his safe arms wrapped around her delicate waist, his body pressed against hers. She revelled in the way their bodies seemed so perfect for one another, the way she felt perfect in his arms, the way it always felt perfect, and right. He showered her with kisses, not wanting to waste a second of their time, secret time, forbidden time. His lips searched for hers, she tilted her head up to meet his lips with hers.

"Stop" she breathed when she broke them apart, she brought her hands up to his face, his grip around her only tightened. "I don't want to waste our time just kissing." He chuckled in response, time kissing the one he loved was time well spent.

"I don't mind" he smiled against her soft skin as he nuzzled her neck. "Stay." It wasn't a request, it was a plea. She felt her heart give a twang. She wanted to, Merlin she wanted to stay in his arms forever.

"You know I can't." He sighed dejectedly, resting his head on her chest. "I love you..." He straightened up and pulled her in even closer to him, his head resting atop hers.

"I love you too." He sighed. "One day, we won't have to hide anymore. I promise, no more smelly alcoves." He kissed her hair relishing in the scent of her.

"When?" she asked, barely a whisper, it was a pointless question, neither knew when the war would end, neither knew when she would be safe, neither knew if they would survive. He didn't answer.

They stayed there, in each others arms, savouring the feel of each other, savouring the little time they had together.
