The ginger headed boy stood by the altar. He was ready, he kept telling himself. Even though he would never be fully prepared for this day. Behind the tall oak doors stood the love of his life. 'Well, here it goes.' The music played. Ron watched attentively at those oak doors. Harry, his best man, gave him in encouraging nudge on the shoulder. "Are you ready?" he asked. "As ready as I'll ever be." Ron responded.
The doors opened, and out came Ginny along with his brother, George. Next, followed Charlie and his mother, and following were Bill and Hermione's mother. This was it. Ron suddenly felt woozy as he saw Hermione in a beautiful cream colored dress, with her father on her right arm. Her hair was in a low, neat bun, underneath a veil. He always new she was beautiful, but this was a new kind of gorgeous.
She flashed him on of her signature smiles, he returned the gesture. Hermione made it to the altar. She gave her dad a kiss and took the hand that Ron was extending. "Here we go." He whispered so that only she could hear. She responded with a wink.
"We are gathered here today to witness the coming together of two people, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger."
"I Ron, take you Hermione, as my friend and love, beside me and apart from me, in laughter and in tears, in conflict and tranquility, asking that you be no other than yourself, loving what I know of you, trusting what I do not know yet, in all the ways that life may find us."
He slipped the silver/diamond ring on her finger.
"I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, and with all that I am, and all that I have."

Hermione gently slipped the silver band on his finger, a tear slowly falling down her cheek.
"I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, and with all that I am, and all that I have."
"Do you Hermione, knowing this man's love for you and returning it, realizing his strengths and learning from them, recognizing his weaknesses and helping him to overcome them, take Ron, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
"Do you Ron, knowing this woman's love for you and returning it, realizing her strengths and learning form them, recognizing her weaknesses and helping her to overcome them, take Hermione, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride."
Ron cupped Hermione's face in his hands, gently wiped a tear on her cheek with his thumb, and gave her a soft but passionate kiss.
"It is my pleasure to introduce for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Weasley!"
The crowd cheered. This was the day everyone was waiting for, ever since that first year of Hogwarts.
The newlyweds looked at each other and smiled. Finally, they were together, as husband and wife.
