Cat: Hey all. This ficlet's been bothering me. Seriously, was I the only one creeped out by the way that Daggeron was stalking Maddie in Long Ago? The guy is old enough to be her dad. Anyways, enjoy. Or, actually please don't, the pairing is really creepy.

Disclaimer: I'm too tired to think up something funny. But um, yeah. I don't own it.

I angled myself carefully, frog eyes are not the best for seeing directly ahead, and I watched her. She moved casually around the store, laughing and chatting. You'd hardly think that she was formidable warrior at all. But, of course, she was. A beautiful one.

Bracing myself, I steeled my nerves. Powerful leg muscles reacted quickly and I was actually touching her. ACTUALLY TOUCHING HER! Her shirt, technically, but it was only a small distinction. For a while, she didn't even notice, as though my presence seemed natural. I felt her heartbeat reverberate through my tiny body. It wasn't hard to memorize the steady rhythm. When she spoke her entire body vibrated, though it would be difficult to notice unless you were an inch tall and standing on her shoulder. It was nice, like a cat's purr.

Again I fortified my resolve and I reached out a hand. Shifting slightly, I laid it on her shoulder. Her bare shoulder. The touch of her skin was like electricity, heat spreading outward till it filled every inch of me.

Unfortunately I think that it was my cold touch that alerted her to my company. Her head turned so quickly a hot breeze graced my skin, but only for a moment. The ripple of muscles required for the motion dislodged me and I fell. But it hardly mattered.

I hopped a few feet away and waited for her to follow.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I glanced over at her, grateful once again for human vision. Not only could I see directly ahead of me, but also in full color. A few strands of hair had fallen loose, but she didn't seem to notice them. She was too caught up in the editing stages of her movie.

I never really noticed when the Rangers started moving all of their hobbies into Rootcore. The first time I had ever really been bothered by it was the time that Xander ran over my foot with his skateboard. Overall though I believed it was a good thing. Because she was sitting there, glaring at her computer screen with utter concentration.

I feigned confidence and casualness as I strode over to her. Placing both hands on the back of her chair I could lean forward against her back and it seemed totally innocent to any passersby.

By comparison to her, I was an old man. But I scarcely looked it. And really, could my years as a frog count as human years? Still, as her teacher it was completely inappropriate to have any sort of relationship with her. And because I fought in the Great Battle, I owed it to her to teach her what I knew. For her own safety. I hated our limited interactions, but until the Master was defeated I had no choice but to treat her no differently than Chip or Vida.

She turned to look at me, eyes bright.

"Oh, hey." She said. This close to her I could still feel an echo of the vibrations of her voice. She turned back to look at the computer allowing me to lean even father forward.

"I just wanted to see what you were working on." It was a lie. But it let me be close to her.
