"Thank you, Princess Zelda...Thank you Link!" The Princess of Lorule exclaimed as she Lorule's Triforce appear. Ravio beamed and then shifted his gaze to the over-joyed princess. Sheerow, Ravio's bird friend, chirped happily and did a little dance. Ravio's gaze lingered on his princess for a moment longer, then shifted his gaze back over to Sheerow.
"Haha, too bad we'll never see Mr. Hero again to thank him, eh?" Ravio asked his bird friend, his heart sinking a little at realizing he'll never see his brave friend again. Sheerow chirped in agreement.
"Ravio."
Ravio froze, then turned towards Hilda, who was facing him with tear-filled eyes. "I would just like to-to thank you." she said meekly and gave a small smile at the raven-haired boy. His eyes widened and shook his head vigorously.
"F-for what, Princess? I didn't really do 'nything, y'know?" he exclaimed. "All I did was sell Link the stuff he needed! And I gained a handsome profit! But, nothing important!" The princess wiped her eyes and walked toward Ravio and placed her hands on his shoulders. He flinched slightly and started to kneel, but she stopped him.
"Ravio," she said again. "You displayed tremendous amounts of courage, in your own way. Maybe not as directly as Link-but courage all the same." she smiled again. "And you saw right through Yuga's façade, while I could not."
"B-but Your Highness! Your reason was very noble! I-I on the other hand escaped when you needed me most. I-I would understand if you would want me to leave." the rabbit-hooded boy said miserably and hung his head.
Hilda shook her head. "Ravio, you don't understand. I need you right now. I need you at my side when I rebuild Lorule." she gave a smile, a little wider this time.
Ravio looked up at her. "Really?" He breathed and broke out into a grin.
"You and your rupees." Hilda added.
Ravio's face fell. "Really?" he groaned.
Hilda laughed and embraced Ravio. "Really."
AN:
Really short one-shot for ya guys. This is my first contribution to the Legend of Zelda fandom, which I love so very dearly.
I recently finished a Link Between Worlds and it's safe to say that it's my favorite tLoZ game so far. Ravio was of course my favorite. I just hope I didn't completely butcher both characters in this fic.
I plan to write some more for this fandom, so keep an eye out.
I don't own the Legend of Zelda. (I wish)
Reviews and favorites are greatly appreciated!
