Out of all of the tragedies and shortcomings that have overcome the Doctor in his almost one-thousand years of existence, no one could predict the rising of the nerds. Though different versions and reincarnations of the doctor come and go, the current doctor and his quirky personality were hoping for a chance to finally settle down, just for one single day with his companion. That hope would, unfortunately, never come true.

The Doctor, and his companion, Rose, were sleeping in the TARDIS after a long night of sailing the many galaxies and constellations that surrounded the infinite solar system. They were awoken by a creature, who seemed to be of human descent.

"DOCTOR!" the strange man said, after knocking four times. "DOCTOR!" the man said, once again, after another round of four knocks. The outlandish man kept insisting on repeating his motions, until the Doctor finally got up, put on his clothes, and went to open the door, until Rose forewarned him.

"Was that just me, or did I just hear four knocks?" The Doctor recognized her concerns, as one of his greatest enemies was known to knock four times. The Master, as they called him, was one of the last Time Lords, along with the Doctor. A million-years' worth of memories flowed through the Doctor's head in the matter of a few seconds. Not risking the chance of letting the potentially dangerous man go, the Doctor decided that it was best to face the strange man outside the TARDIS. "Allons-y!" said the Doctor, and off the two went.
