Epilogue:
Opheliac; Someone who has been cursed with madness. Whether to be born into it, or to achieve it. The wizarding world uses it as a term to define the madness caused by dark magic…
Rumors said that when the Dark Lord had begun to recruit Death Eaters, he had purposely created an opheliac. A young child he'd conjured from the darkest depths of wizardy, someone to carry the burden of being born to die, and a horcrux of sorts. Of course this possibility was ruled out after his defeat last year, but some believed that Harry Potter may have been the opheliac. Those people were wrong.
If Voldemort wanted an opheliac, wouldn't he go through anything to protect it?
Chapter 1:
It was the summer after the Great Second Wizarding War, and the media still spoke only of it. Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and Hogwarts had just recently been repaired, in definite, and Tatum had been waiting for a Hogwarts letter to arrive. Although the brunette was going on eighteen, she'd lived in France for the majority of her childhood, studying at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Tatum was born in the United Kingdom, but had only visited once for the Triwizard Tournament, but now she was ready to return for good.
Tatum heard a light tapping and jerked her head towards the window of her new loft. She set down the box in her arms and slid open the glass pane, receiving the letter she'd been waiting for. The girl reached into her pocket and slipped the owl a couple of treats, then moved to take a seat on the only piece of furniture in the room.
Dear Ms.Ènigme
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.
Minerva McGonagall
Headmistress
Tatum quickly scrawled her letter in response, being way too excited to wait any longer. She sent it off with the owl who'd waited for her, then returned to unpacking. Tatum began to wonder what house she'd be sorted into. Of course it'd be Slytherin, her father was one, as was her adoptive mother, but they were no longer around to be disappointed with her. Maybe another house was a possibility..
