Author's note: I wasn't sure whether or not to post this but I was like "what the heck?" I'll post it. It's my first time ever writing a poem for Inuyasha and may I say, I don't own Inuyasha, all rights go to Rumiko Takahashi. Enjoy!

Waiting

-x-

Of many years of torment

hurt by cruel words

I run from the pain

but it never fades

Death comes and goes,

yet in my case,

it comes slow.

I ask myself if living was worth it,

worth all the hatred and pain,

by both humans and demons alike,

I was never one to be accepted,

This was life.

Was I ever to be truly accepted,

not by blood or features,

Just by being my self?

Will my light end my darkness

all the pain I hold inside,

will it fade away

Or forever remain?

I know that one day

someone will care

accept me for who I was

not by blood or appearance

And I wait for you

My ever glowing light.

To set me free

free from my eternal darkness

Pinned, asleep and waiting under the sacred tree.

Author's Note: So how was it? Was it okay, I am not entirely sure, but I think it was decent. I hope you liked it well, until then! Thank you for reading!
