This is my first fan-fic, so it's not that very good.

English is not my first language so I probably have spelling/grammar mistakes.

Please write what you really think about the story. I wanna know the truth...

Disclaimer: I don't own Ghost Whisperer... Though I would love to meet Jennifer Love Hewitt...

Candles were placed all around the room keeping it from falling in complete darkness.

In the middle of the room a young woman sat on a couch, resting her chin on her knees which she held in her arms.

She jumped when the sound of keys in the front door filled the silence room.

"Mel?" A voice echoed as the door closed, soon followed by footsteps.

"Mel?" He walked over to the woman. "Melinda? Has something happened?"

"No Jim. I just think it's time..." She sat in a more comfortable position facing Jim.

"What do you mean? Is there trouble between us? Have I done something?"

She shook her head smiling, he always wondered if their relationship came to an end for some odd reason.

"No. Nothing bad has happened between us..." Jim sat down in front of her.

"Then what?"

"Remember when we first met and I knew about that man, he was stuck in the house?" Jim nodded taking her hands in his. "The reason is that, I can speak with and see the dead. It's a gift I have." Jim shrugged one shoulder.

"Cool..." Melinda looked suspicious at him.

"You don't think I'm crazy. You're not gonna break up with me because of it?"

"What are you talking about?" He almost looked mad at her. "I would never be able to break up with, you know why? Because I love you. Every morning when I wake up, the first thing that comes to my mind is you. The way you make me feel. The loss I feel when I'm without you. Mel I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"Really?" He nodded sitting next to her on the couch.

"What made you think anything else?" Melinda shrugged one shoulder.

"My ex-boyfriend broke up with me when I told him."

"Then he wasn't worth you. You need a man the loves you for who you are. Not one part of you. The ghosts make you who you are. And if they make you this happy, then I can't do anything else but thank them."

"Thank you. That's all I really needed to hear from you." He embraced her, letting everything she'd been worried about fall to the ground.
