Depth swept his brow as he turned away one final time. His lips still carried Blaine's essence; his eyes still saw his face and his heart still skipped a beat. Even though his love radiated firmly, he had dropped his hands from his back and walked to his car.
Retracing every thought, every breath and every touch, Blaine watched Kurt leave. Watched as he drove home for the night, leaving Blaine to remember every dark tunnel he had been brought down tonight – through the roads he had never wished to enter.
Kurt was leaving in the morning, skipping town. All Blaine had to hang onto were three little words whispered into the darkness before he had left for good. But no he wasn't a runaway, or a lost cause, it was just the fact that life had been generous to both of them in different respects. There was the opportunity of the lifetime for Kurt and he had to cease it, neither would have been happy otherwise – both of them knew that it would be stupid to sacrifice a dream when the opportunity presented itself.
Now here he was, watching the taillights of Kurt's car drifting farther into the distance until the car turned right and was lost to darkness.
