Kyoto.

"Can you please recite the prophecy one more time for me, Obaa-san?" Yasaka, the current head of the Youkai clan, asked the head priestess of the shrine.

Yasaka was a young woman with a voluptuous figure and very long blonde hair with matching eyes. She adorned delicate facial features and her eyebrows were cut short and round, a symbol of nobility. Her hair was tied in a loose ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs. She was currently wearing a traditional shrine maiden attire and completed her looks with a white coat held closed by a red ribbon and a golden crown.

"Sure my dear" the old woman responded with a wistful smile on her face.

Yasaka clapped her hands in respect and positioned herself in front of the priestess. "Thank you Miyaki Obaa-san!!" she intoned, no doubt very serious about the prophecy that could affect the future of Youkai faction.

The woman now known as Miyako nodded her head in acknowledgment.

"The waves are waiting to kiss the Earth ... the Sun is waiting to set ... the procession of lightning is waiting to confront ... and even the ever evil destiny is scared of him. Raised by a fierce and strong-willed mother, He's a stubborn volcano which will burn the whole world!" Miyako finished with a smile on her face. No matter how many times she repeats this prophecy, there is something very special about it which does not let it become boring like other old prophecies.

Yasaka took a minute to absorb the meaning behind the prophecy, but sadly couldn't. "What do you think about this prophecy, baa-san? I still can't understand the meaning behind it. Is this volcano will destroy this world?" Yasaka murmured with a frown on her angelic face.

Miyako remained silent for a while before answering. "I really don't know my child. The only thing I can tell you is that the Supernatural world is about to get a very big surprise"

"A surprise?..." Yasaka trailed with a tilted head.

"Yes"

The village hidden in the leaf was now nothing more than a pile of broken stones and burning wood. Clouds of caliginous ash were hovering over the decimated village and unidentifiable dead bodies of several villagers were lying here and there.

The reason for the said destruction was a calamity in the form of a Nine-Tailed Fox, Kyubbi. The fox somehow escaped the body of his former vessel, Kushina and without wasting any time, wreaked havoc on the peaceful village and its residents. The beast didn't spare anything or anyone from its punishment. From the swing of its tails, the fox destroyed mountains and with the power of the inescapable Bijjudama, it destroyed uncountable buildings and houses.

The reason for the escape of the fox was still unknown to most of the populace, but to utter relief of the still alive villagers, their hero, The Yondaime, managed to defeat the gigantic fox and took it with himself inside the stomach of the Death God, Shinigami.

While most of the people were either busy with reconstructing their houses or searching for their relatives, one particular person could be seen standing on the head of the Yondaime Hokage.

The person had grey hair and a pair of brown eyes which held years of experience within them. The face of the person was covered with wrinkles and marks that were a bare giveaway of the age of the person.

The said person was none other than the Third Hokage of the village of Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi. He was currently gazing at his precious village which was burning in the fire of hatred and grief. This is the same beautiful village which his sensei, Hashirama Senju built years ago in order to provide home and security to many wandering clans and thousands of innocent civilians. "I'm very sorry, Sensei. I was unable to save your village" finally after a long silence, Hiruzen spoke, his face devoid of any emotion except for the overwhelming sadness. "I couldn't do anything Sensei, that beast was too much for even me to handle" he added with a subtle frown on his face.

Veering his old eyes over to the direction of the forest that surrounded the village, Hiruzen couldn't help but look down in disappointment as he remembered the events that had transpired a while ago. He lost his wife Biwako, his successor Minato, his daughter in all buy blood, Kushina and an innocent boy who didn't even know what was happening around him. "All because of that Masked man!" he growled. That man stole everything from him and Minato in a single night. He killed everyone, from Biwako to Kushina. That bastard didn't even spare poor and innocent Naruto from his wrath. "If only I had been more alert, Minato" he murmured and clenched his hands in frustration. That masked man wouldn't have done anything if he had been more alert about his surrounding, but unfortunately, he let his guard down after the sealing process and needless to say, he paid the price for it in the form of Naruto's life.

The masked man noticed the opening between him and his subordinates and used a very strong time manipulation jutsu with the help of that damn strange chakra of a plant man. The man while looked visibly annoyed about the whole ordeal, but didn't care for too long and vanished using the same jutsu, but on a small scale.

"I'm sorry Minato, I couldn't save your legacy. I'm sorry..." Hiruzen muttered with a faraway look on his face.

The interdimensional gap was a very unique place. It was like an endless ocean of vibrant colors and strange patterns. As far as one's eyes could see, there was nothing but colors and patterns, except for a small chamber that was situated in the farthest corner of the rift.

The said chamber was nothing special, it was simply a small room made up of precisely arranged concrete blocks. The room was further decorated with strange purple ripple patterns which were etched on either side of the walls.

Currently, the room was occupied by three people garbed in elegant white cloaks.

The first person was a tall and pale-skinned man, who had deep wrinkles and a strong jawline. The man adorned spiky, shoulder-length pale brown hair and a chin-length, braided lock in front of his left ear. He also sported a rather long goatee down to his waist. The person also had a pair of horn-like protrusions extending from either side of his forehead and a red ripple like marking in the center of his forehead.

The second person was a tall man with short, spiky brown hair and two locks which were wrapped in bandages, framing either side of his face. The man had a pronounced jaw-line and a pair of honey brown eyes. He wore a light-colored kimono with magatama patterns adorned around the collar of the cloth.

Finally, the third person was a tall man with long brown hair which was cut short on top and was held in a cylindrical manner. The man adorned two locks wrapped in bandages which framed either side of his face. He had dark onyx eyes and light blue markings around his eyes. He completed his look with high-collared, light-colored kimono held closed by a dark sash.

"It's very unfortunate that the story of poor Naruto has to end like this, Ashura" the elderly man spoke in a tone that emanated sorrow and grief.

After hearing the words of the elderly sage, the man now known as Ashura let out a sigh and shook his head in sadnes. "I still can't believe that Zetsu would go this far to make sure no one hinders his plan. Naruto was just a mere child, he could have at least spared him" he muttered as his eyes tirelessly watch the dimension rift with no emotions in them.

"Huh?! He's Zetsu, he hardly cares about anything, except for his mother. He will go to any length in order to make sure his plan works" the third man with onyx eyes snapped, no doubt annoyed at the mention of that black prick who manipulated him for his own benefit.

Ashura glanced at his brother and frowned. "I know Indra-nii!!. It just... I'm annoyed by the fact that I won't be able to transmigrate for a while now. With Naruto gone, my chakra don't have any vessel to transmigrate into" he mumbled with a downcast look. Now how is he going to settle the fight between him and his brother?

Indra remained silent for a while before a small laugh escaped his mouth, a gesture which alerted the other two occupants of the room. "Have you forgotten beside whom we are standing, Ashura? The legendary Sage of Six Path!! A man who can do the impossible. Reviving Naruto won't be a big deal for you, isn't it Hagoromo Otsutsuki?" he growled, not even trying to hide the amount of disdain he held for his own father.

Hagoromo flinched at the harsh and disrespectful remark of his elder son. No matter how much he and Ashura try to change the perspective of his elder son, Indra would never listen to them and because of it, he is still very far away from redemption. "It's true that I can revive Naruto, but I still can't send him back to his dimension. His body is stuck between two major dimensions, so reviving him would do no good. Let him join his parents in pure land" Hagoromo explained with a stoic expression on his wrinkled face.

Slight narrow of a blazing Sharingan was Indra's response to his father's explanation "Lies!! You just don't want me and Ashura to fight for a while now" he snapped.

Ashura who was listening to the explanation of his father, scowled ever so slightly "Nii-san do not talk to father like that. It's for the best that we stop fighting once and for all now. You have to learn it Nii, only love can bring peace to the world-"

"Shut up Ashura!! Until I prove that I was right, I won't stop fighting you!!" Indra growled and instead of the normal Sharingan, Mangekyou was blazing in his eyes now. "You would never understand since how long I have been waiting for the moment when I finally defeat you and rule over the world!" he exclaimed.

"No, I will never let you do that, Indra-Nii" came an immediate response from Ashura.

Indra regarded his brother for a while before his eyes finally glanced back to their father. "You know, I'm really getting tired of your son. He doesn't know what it feels like to have the whole world in your hands. I, on the other hand, know very well about everything and that's why I-" he abruptly halted when Naruto's body appeared in the rift out of nowhere. Realizing that the body was merely completing the inter-dimensional travel, Indra let out a sigh... But... But... Then suddenly a devious idea came into his mind. An idea that will change everything for sure.

Smiling wickedly to himself, Indra glanced at his father again. "I have a proposal for you, my dear father" he slurred like a venomous snake who's about to strike its prey.

Noticing the change in the tone of his son, Hagoromo looked a little hesitant at first but eventually decided to hear Indra out. "What type of proposal?" he inquired, looking all too cautious about the request.

'Checkmate!' Indra thought in glee. "I will end the feud between me and Ashura" he intoned with an even face, but soon smirked when he noticed the shocked expression of his brother and father.

"What do you want in return?" Hagoromo immediately asked. He knew how cunning his elder son can be. Indra will not do anything this stupid unless it benefits him on a greater extent, so there must be a reason behind his Earth-shattering proposal.

Indra pondered over his plan for a while before smiling. "I want you to revive Naruto" he mused, shocking his father and brother furthermore.

"Why?!" this time it was Ashura who asked the question.

Indra sighed, if they continue like this then we will lose his temper soon "I'm just bored of this repetitive cycle now. I want to try something new" he whispered, glancing at the body of the child with his Sharingan.

"By something new you mean..." Hagoromo trailed off as realization finally dawned on him. "No, I can't let you do it!" he shouted, startling his younger son in the process.

Clenching his hands tightly, Indra mustered a fake smile. It was necessary, he had to hold back his anger otherwise nothing will happen, but that doesn't mean that he cannot insult his good for nothing father. "You are really a mindless fool, my dear father. On one hand you do everything to stop the fight between me and Ashura, and on the other hand, when I'm finally giving you a chance to settle things once and for all, you are outright rejecting my proposal" he muttered, shaking his head in disappointment.

Hagoromo frowned at the words of his elder son. "I know Indra, but what you are trying to do is not a good thing either" he tried to argue in hope that his son will understand why this idea is not good.

A snort was all Hagoromo got in response from Indra. "I should have known it, you will never agree with me, father!! I bet if Ashura was at my place then you would have accepted the proposal without giving it a second thought" like a raging firestorm, Indra's words inundated the whole room.

"It's not like-" the old sage tried to argue but was again cut off by his annoyed elder son. "It is, my father. It is. You always preferred Ashura over me" he snapped, Mangekyou blazing fiercely in his eyes.

Ashura who was watching the whole argument from sidelines decided to intervene. "Umm... Father if brother really wants to revive this child that much, then please do it" he suggested with a genuine smile on his face.

Hagoromo remained silent for a while before an incoherent sigh escaped his lips. "Fine, but the body of this child will need chakra to survive. Kurama-kun is no longer inside him, so I need a very potent chakra to revive him" he explained while frowning at the mention of his beloved Kurama.

Knowing that it was his descendant who was going to be revived, Ashura was about to nominate himself, but Indra was a little faster than him. "I will give him my chakra. I don't have anything to do in this limbo anymore, so I don't mind sharing my chakra with this child" with gleeful smile on his face, Indra strode towards the boy.

At that moment, Ashura realized the plan of his brother. Pointing an accusing finger at him, he yelled: "You want to travel that new world with this child, Nii-san!!"

Ignoring the outburst of his brother, Indra keep walking towards the body of the child. Finally reaching near the child, Indra tapped the forehead of the boy and on queue, a malevolent purple colored chakra engulfed the motionless form of the child. "I'm expecting great things from you, little Naruto. I don't know why, but when I saw you, I got this strange feeling in my heart that you are going to be the one who will show everyone the power of Indra Otsutsuki. I hope I'm not wrong this time, Naruto" Indra murmured, remembering the mindless failures his descendants turned out to be.

He was about to stand up but creased when a very important thought struck his mind like a boulder. 'How can I forget it?!' Indra thought to himself. Not wasting any more time, he gently grasped the palm of Naruto, and soon a Crescent Moon mark appeared on the skin where Indra's hand was. "Do great things, Naruto!" with that said, Indra allowed himself to get away from the boy and signaled his father to use the ultimate technique of Rinnegan.

Hagoromo knew what his son meant by that signal. Clapping his hands in praying manner, Hagoromo uttered few words.

"Gedō — Rinne Tensei! (Rinne Rebirth!)"

For a while, nothing happened, but soon a strange blue colored contour appeared in the hands of Hagoromo. Beckoning the blue light towards Naruto, Hagoromo smiled. "You are very special, Naruto. Indra never take liking to any person that fast, he must have seen something very unique in you. I hope you do great things wherever you are going!" as soon as he finished his speech, the blue light entered the body of the said child.

Ashura on the other hand, couldn't help but frown when he saw the blue light enter the body of his descendant. No matter what his brother say, he couldn't see his descendant falling like this. Naruto was and will always be his descendant and it was his duty to keep him safe. Placing his index finger on the ground, Ashura closed his eyes, a gesture which didn't go unnoticed by his father. "It's very unfortunate that we couldn't remain together Naruto, but I still know that you will grow up to be a good person, after all, you are my descendant!" he hummed with a content smile on his face. If his brother's chakra ever go berserk over the mind of Naruto, then his miniscule yet potent chakra will always be there to save him from the curse of hatred.

At that moment, everything changed.

"Push harder, Minami-chan!" a feminine shout echoed in the dark room.

"I'm trying, Shouko!!" came a tired response from a woman probably named Minami who was lying on the bed. She was covered in a coating of sweat and dirt. Her hair was drenched and her eyes were squint shut because of the pain which was surging through her body.

"One more push and he will finally come out" Shouko shouted while rubbing the hands of her patient in order to ease the pain of the labor.

"Please, come out dearrr!!!" Minami exclaimed. Her outburst abruptly ceased when she felt a bit lighter than before. Looking down at her friend Shouko, Minami smiled "Did he came out? How is he?!!" even after being tired, her questions had untamed energy within them.

Ignoring the train of questions, Shouko just kept looking at the motionless body of the child. "No.." she murmured to herself. This is not how it was supposed to happen. Her friend Minami didn't deserve this punishment. She deserved better.

Steeling herself, Shouko glanced at Minami but to her utter surprise and relief, the said woman was already asleep because of the exhaustion. "Oh dear Minami..." she sobbed while pressing the unmoving child near to her bosom. Standing up from her seat, Shouko decided to leave the room with the child. She didn't have the heart to tell her friend about the death of her son.

Grasping the handle of the door she was about to open it but had to jump back when the door opened on its own. "Shouko-sama! We have found a small child lying all alone near the Shrine!" the person who entered the room, all but shouted.

Surprised by the news, Shouko decided to get some more information. "Do you have the child with you?" she asked, sharp eyes already searching for the boy.

The girl nodded her head "Yes Shouko-sama! Yuki is bringing him here" she answered and on queue another girl with bright pink hair entered the room while holding a small child in her arms.

Shouko immediately handed the dead child to the first girl and picked up the unknown child from the arms of Yuki. "Ohh dear Kami, who can leave this child like that, he's so beautiful and innocent" she murmured sadly, patting the head of the child who only yawned in response.

"By the way what happened to the child of Minami-san?" Yuki who watching her mentor caress the child asked in a grave tone, already knowing the answer.

The sadness on her Shouko's face intensified by a thousands fold at her student's query. "He's dead, Yuki-chan. Poor Minami suffered so much for this child. She took the abuse of the society, she took the taunts of her son being a bastard with a smile, but in the end, she couldn't even raise him" she whispered, no doubt very distraught about the fact that her friend couldn't even raise the child for whom she suffered so much. Looks like the Gods above are really angry with her.

Yuki who watching the face of Shouko intently frowned at the amount of sadness it was radiating. She has never seen Shouko this sad, she always had a smile on her face, even in the gravest situations. Yuki didn't like it and wanted to do something in order to uplift the mood of her motherly figure.

Suddenly an idea struck her mind. "Umm Shouko-sama, do Minami-san know about the death of her son" she hesitantly asked and at the declination nod of Shouko, she continued, "Then if you don't mind, we can switch these two babies, they look very similar. Same raven colored hair and same sapphire eyes. This way this poor child will get a mother and Minami-san will get a child of her own" she murmured with her head down, afraid that Shouko might dislike the idea.

Shouko froze, why the hell didn't she thought about it before? This was a perfect plan. In this way, both, the child and Minami will get a family of their own. Steeling herself, she looked at her student. "Take the dead body with you, Yuki" she ordered and let out a sigh of relief when Yuki left the room.

Smiling to herself, Shouko strode towards her sleeping friend. "Minami!" she called while poking the cheek of her friend lightly.

"Umm... What Shouko?" Minami mumbled under her breath while rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

Shouko smiled at her friend and gently soothed her head with her fingers. "Your child is waiting for you, you know" she whispered.

That did it for Minami, faster than the lightning she jolted up and started searching for her son. After a few dire seconds, she finally found her baby boy in the arms of her friend. "M-my son!" she whispered, tears flowing like an untamed stream from her beautiful cerulean eyes.

Picking up the baby from the arms of her friend, Minami hugged him tightly to her bosom. "You are finally here, my Naruto!" she murmured between the fit of sobs, not even registering what she had just said.

Shouko on the hand did. "Minami!!" she exclaimed, startling her friend.

"What?"

Looking incredulously at her friend, Shouko shook her head in amusement. "You just named your child!!" she all but yelled, and soon a gleeful smile evaded her features at the reaction of her friend.

For a while, Minami didn't understand anything, but then it came and suddenly a gasp of surprise escaped her lips when her mind registered the fact that she had unintentionally named her son without even thinking. "What?! I named him without even thinking!!" she shrieked, cursing herself for being so careless.

Shouko smiled at her friend's behavior. "But Naruto is a very nice name if you ask me," she mused with a smirk.

Mouth forming an O, Minami looked at her friend.

"Really? It just came to my mouth from only Kami know where" she muttered with a twitch of her pointed ears. While her mind was hard to remember the origin of her son's name, her eyes caught something very strange. "Ano, why my Naruto don't have ears like us, Shouko?" she asked, pointing one finger at the fox ears on her head.

At the inquiry, Shouko let a crestfallen look cover her face. "Umm... Minami, Naruto isn't a proper Youkai like us" she explained in an act of fake sadness. It was still better than telling her friends about the death of her son.

As soon as the news reached Minami's ears, she recoiled in shock. "What?!!!" she gasped. How can it be possible? Her son should be a proper Yokai like her!!. Looking back at her friend, Minami smiled. "You are joking with me, right Shouko?" she asked but her hopes died immediately when her friend shook her head in sadness.

Collecting her bearings, Minami glanced at her child who was sleeping peacefully in the warm confinement of her body. "My poor Naruto" she whispered, holding back a sob that threatened to escape her mouth at that moment. What will happen to her son now? Will the people here accept him? But what if they do not? What will happen if they reject him? Does she care about it? No!!, Minami didn't care about it at all. She had fought these idiot people earlier and she will keep fighting them if it meant to keep her son safe.

Smiling to herself, she patted the head of Naruto. "You don't worry, Naruto! Your mother will still love you and will always be there for you" she remarked in a gentle soothing tone and soon hugged the boy.

Shouko who was watching Minami critically let out a sigh of relief when she registered the words of her friend. She was about to take her leave in order to give Minami some private time with her son, but had to cease her stride when whole room started shaking violently. "What's happening? Is it an Earthquake?" she yelled, trying to balance herself on the shaking floor. "Sh-Shouko" she heard the whisper of her friend and immediately turned over to her. Her eyes almost fell out from the sockets when she noticed exactly what was happening.

Huge... No very huge amount of an unique purple colored energy was flaring around the body of Naruto. It was like the energy was trying to burn the body of the boy by its intensity, but yet was doing nothing to neither Naruto nor Minami.

"What's happening?" she said in a squeak while her mind was enchanted by the amount of energy flaring around the boy.

An equally shocked Minami turned her eyes toward her friend. "I don't know Shouko, the energy started seeping out on its own" she explained and had to hold herself from falling when the energy abruptly intensified thousands fold.

Noticing that the room couldn't handle the pressure for too long, Shouko made her way towards her friend. "Minami let's get o-" she was cut off when the energy stopped its dancing and vanished in the thin air. "What... How... Where?" she whimpered, no doubt confused by the recent event.

Minami on the other hand was lost in her own world. Her eyes were in shock due to the event that has transpired in front of her just now. "You are not weak like me, Naruto" she spoke in delight. "You are strong, unlike me Naruto" Tears were now streaming down her happy face. "Your mother is a very weak woman Naruto, but now she don't have to worry about anything, because you are here to help her. You are my Savior, Naruto" Pressing the boy tightly to her breast, she exclaimed with a teary face as she let out the grief she had stored in her heart for years.

--xxXxx--

It was raining heavily in the city of Kyoto. The sacred city was covered by dark clouds and eye-blinding jolts of lightning. The streets were completely devoid of any living being. It was as if the Gods above were punishing the city for some sort of an unforgiving sin.

Far away from the center of the city, stood a small ragged house. A small building made up of concrete blocks which was a home to the fierce Minami and her son, Naruto.

Currently, the mother and son were sitting together and were watching the storm through the window of their house.

"Are you hungry, Naruto?" Minami asked her child.

Naruto perked up at the question and smiled at his mother. "Nah, Kaa-chan, I'm all good!" he exclaimed but unfortunately his stomach had other plans and much to Naruto's embarrassment, it abruptly growled.

Minami giggled at the misfortune of her son. "But your stomach didn't agree with you, Naruto..." she remarked in a teasing tone and ruffled the hair of her son.

At his mother's comment, Naruto had the decency to look embarrassed. "Umm... It just that, I didn't want to make you do any more work, you know. You are already very ill, Kaa-chan" Looking away from his mother, Naruto mumbled with a downcast look. It always pains him a lot whenever someone makes a comment about her mother's illness.

Naruto's words stung Minami's heart like precisely edged ice needles. "Ohh Naruto, you don't have to worry about me, dear. It's a mother's duty to look after her child, you know" she whispered in a motherly tone.

"I don't care about that! I just want you to remain healthy and happy, Kaa-chan!... I don't want to you to leave me..." Naruto argued and let out light sniffle at the conclusion of his outburst.

The smile on Minami's face didn't even waver at the words of her son. "So you want me to remain happy, huh?" Minami asked, tapping her index finger on her chin in a thoughtful manner.

Naruto nodded his head frantically at his mother's query. "Yes!" he exclaimed, no doubt very serious about the subject.

Minami smiled at the conviction in her son's voice.

"Then promise me that you will become the most powerful person in this world, promise me Naruto!" she exclaimed, surprising Naruto with the strange request.

"Umm... But how it is related to your happiness?" he couldn't help but ask.

"it is Naruto, it is. I'm tired of this life, Naruto. I can't see you suffer like that because of me. People here respect power and if you become a powerful man then they have to respect you too. That's all what I want, Naruto. I want to see people respect you, and that's the only thing which can make me feel happy" Minami whispered, eyes shimmering with tears.

Naruto immediately hugged his mother. If there was one thing that Naruto couldn't tolerate, then it was tears on his mother's face. He hates them, they make his mother feel weak. "But what can I ever do, Kaa-chan?... We are poor and merely some kind of slaves to the higher ups" he whimpered, hanging his head down on the shoulders of Minami.

That didn't go well with Minami. "No!" she snapped, startling Naruto furthermore. "You are not a slave, Naruto. Never ever think of yourself as one... Never" she remarked hotly. "When I held you in my arms for the first time, I immediately knew that I have given birth to a ruler, not a peasant!" A smile deluged the face of Minami.

"A ruler?" Naruto asked in awe. Was he that special?

"Yes!" without missing a beat, Minami answered.

That did it for Naruto. Snapping out from his stupor, he gently grasped the hand of her mother and smiled. "I promise you Kaa-chan, I will become the most powerful person in the world!" He exclaimed and as if to show that even the Gods were agreeing with him, on queue, a loud thunder deluged the whole city.

"A ruler..."

A.N - First of all, I'm very sorry for removing the story without any prior notice and hope you guys understand that I had my own reason.

After reading the reviews, I realized something very important was missing in my story. After few reads, I found the mistake and it was a very big one too. I wrote the conclusion of the chapter without even putting any scene which shows why Naruto's mother has such blind faith in him.

In order to correct my mistake, I removed the story and added a scene which will atleast become a base for the faith that Minami has on Naruto.

I hope you guys support this and please don't forget to Review. Reviews are very important for me, they ignite my imagination.
