The Haunted Mansion had many servants, but only one lucky servant. This servant was lucky for one reason; here is the story about him.

The servant, Fredrick, was helping Mr. Gracy set up for the ball tonight.

"Fredrick you have been my most loyal servant, I am choosing you to be my ballroom servant tonight."

"Thank you sir."

So the Fredrick went to finish the decorations. Later it was time for the ball; Fredrick went and got dressed up to serve the food. He noticed the bride, sitting on a chair crying.

"Oh, I wish I knew the right way to go, I'm so nervous."

Fredrick wished he could have helped but servants could not talk to higher people, so he left. He started to serve the food right when his best friend, Mr. Bennett, walked in. Mr. Bennett had been friends with Fredrick for a long time. He was talking to Mr. Gracy; Fredrick couldn't quite hear what they were saying so he left. Then he spotted Sir Richard. Sir Richard came up to him.

"Servant! Go out back in my buggy and get the punch, sitting on my seat."

"Sir we already have punch."

"You are a servant and you do as I say!"

"Yes Sir"

So Fredrick went and changed the punch, and noticed a funny smell to it. He ignored it though, servants can't have punch. Then he spotted Sir Richard talking to Mr. Bennett. Then Mr. Bennett followed Mr. Gracy upstairs, to the secret servant doorway. Mr. Bennett came back down and spoke to Fredrick.

"Fredrick how nice to see you! Looks like you made the party."

"Yes I did, but I have an eerie feeling about tonight."

"Why?"

"I don't know it's just some strange things have been going on. Do you like punch?"

"No"

"Ok good, I have to go."

"Goodbye Fredrick."

Fredrick had finished setting up the table when there was a scream, and a yell. Mr. Bennett ran upstairs, like a maniac to see what happened. Fredrick ran outside. Then he saw the bride on the ground!! He moved her body and found her ring stuck in the ground. He had to pry it out; it was stuck in there good. It left a good mark too. He ran back inside and watched everyone fall to the ground, dead!! He ran outside, around the house, and saw the horse buggy crash!! The horse died also!! Then Mr. Bennett came running out, tripped, jerk a few times and then died! Then Sir Richard came out, so Fredrick went and hid. Sir Richard was talking to the body on the ground.

"You fool; you were dumb enough to take that pen. You will stay there and mold over for years and years."

Then he started to walk away. Fredrick got up and ran to Mr. Bennett's body. Sir Richard tuned around.

"You servant, you know too much."

Then Sir Richard threw a pen at the servants heart and left. He locked the gate. Fredrick was the only person alive, but not for long. He went and laid on the steps of the front door. Then he cursed the flowers of the Mansion.

"All these flowers will appear dead never to move, to show the horror of this night."

Then he died. He could have lived if he didn't come out of his hiding spot so early. That is why they call him the lucky servant. Now he did die, but he was the last to die, and that, to ghost, is considered lucky.

So all the people were ghost, and stuck in the Mansion. Mr. Bennett was called Moldy Man, because of what Sir Richard said. Fredrick was called Luck, and they were all stuck in the house, now called The Haunted Mansion.
