A Sweet, Snowball Fight
By Cara 'The Spooky One' Conocer
The winter day was cloudy and cold. The temperatures were already below the norm and still falling. The night before, it snowed three inches. Earlier that morning, Fox Mulder called his partner, Dana Scully and told her to wait for him outside his apartment building. At 10:13 A.M., Scully stood outside his apartment building losing her patience after waiting for fifteen minutes. She wondered why Mulder didn't want her to come up to his apartment like she always did. " I bet he's up in his apartment laughing at me right now. He wants me to freeze my ass off." She muttered. Just then a voice startled her. "Hey Scully!" the voice called. In an instant she knew it was Mulder. "Jesus, Mulder!" She yelled, "Where are you?" Her answer came, but not in the form she expected.
Splat!
A snowball hit Scully on her the back. She spun around to see Mulder laughing at her from behind a bush. "Oh Scully… you should have seen your face when…" Mulder said before he got a little present from Scully.
Splat!
Mulder got a snowball square on his face. Scully laughed hysterically as Mulder picked the remains of the snowball off his face. "That's it Scully! I'm going to get you for that!" Mulder said as he picked up some snow to make another snowball. "Oh, I'm sooo scared, Mulder. I'm quivering in my boots!" Scully said sarcastically. After that comment, Mulder was done with what he would call a perfect snowball. He threw it without even looking up.
Splat!
"Agent Mulder!" A gruff, angry voice yelled. "Wha…ah! Sir!" Mulder said as he hurried to straighten his posture. The voice belonged to Assistant Director Walter Skinner, Mulder and Scully's boss. "Why is there a snowball on the top of my head?" Skinner asked "Well…sir…Agent Scully and I were having a snowball fight and I…kind of mistook you for her." Mulder said trying to sound as apologetically as possible. "Agent Mulder, I've been paid many complements over the years but, nothing like that before." Skinner said teasing a very confused Mulder. "Huh?" "Never mind, agent." Skinner said as he walked down the street. Behind him, Scully was having the time of her life laughing at Mulder. "Very funny. So Agent Scully, are you amused?" Mulder asked teasingly. "Yes, very." Scully said. "Would you like to come up to my apartment for some beverages?" Mulder asked. "Well…I have a very tight schedule. I have to check my appointment book…"
Splat!
"Scully, Shut up! C'mon, Let's go up to my apartment. I'm freezing my ass off." Mulder said. "Okay." Was Scully's reply. A few minutes later in Mulder's apartment, Scully was sitting on his couch channel surfing. "Anything good on?" Mulder asked as he rummaged through his kitchen cabinets. "Nope." Was Scully's simple reply. "What would you like to drink? Coffee, tea, soda, orange juice?" "If there's iced tea it could be love…"
The End
