Temperance Brennan sighed as she stared blankly at her monitor watching the cursor blink at her, almost as if it were mocking the one sentence she had typed . She had been sitting there for almost 10 minutes, yet she still only had that one sentence. "Kathy stared at Andy, and slowly her fears melted away as grabbed on to him in a tight embrace, and buried her face into his coat." Although Temperance couldn't admit it to herself, she knew that this sentence portrayed her soft side. She knew that this one sentence was how she had felt about him, when he'd rescued her last year in that warehouse. She always denied that Andy was based on Booth, with a few edits here and there, but now she knew that she had been fooling herself.
Dr. Goodman had once told her, before he'd moved on to bigger and better things, that she gave away much more information in her writing than she thought. Now looking at this one phrase, she realized something new. Kathy loves Andy. But if Andy was really Booth, then it would follow logically that she was Kathy. Leading to the conclusion that if Kathy like Andy then she, Temperance liked Booth. But that was impossible she and Booth were partners, even friends, bur nothing more. Or were they? She thought back to what her father had said to Booth, how he had asked that he take care of her before he sped off with Russ. She remembered her talk outside the diner with Booth, about that other type of family. She remembered the fell of his fingers resting on her chin, the sparkle of his eyes… Slowly, Tempe lifted her fingers from her desk, and began to type again, this time, with an idea of what lay ahead.
