Okay, this is my first Disney story, so please don't flame me...I only accept constructive criticism. I hope this isn't too bad...
Minnie was gone.
She had disappeared with that wretched spell that Maleficent cast. Since that moment during the war, when the spell hit, that was all Mickey could think about. He couldn't sleep, he couldn't eat, he couldn't stop thinking about her. All he could think about was getting her back.
A knock was heard on the door. "I don't want to talk." Mickey whispered
"Not even to your own brother?" Oswald's voice asked.
"Come in." Mickey whispered.
Oswald opened the door and gave his little brother a small smile, in hopes to lift his spirits. It helped to no avail. "How are you doing?"
"How do you think?" Mickey asked.
Oswald sighed. "I know you're still hurting, mick, but-" before the rabbit could say anything more, he broke out into coughing.
Mickey's eyes widened and he rushed to his brother. "Ozzie? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, Mickey, I'm fine." Oswald wheezed. "Just not strong right now. Belief is weak as ever..."
Mickey nodded. He knew this just as well as his brother did. The Disney magic was dwindling. And since Oswald was nearly forgotten, he was hit the hardest. "I'm still worried about you."
"I'm glad you're A bit like yourself." Oswald muttered.
"What was that, ozzie?" Mickey asked.
"You just haven't been your caring self since that day." Oswald said.
"Well, somebody has to run things here." Mickey said, avoiding the gaze of his brother.
"Mickey.." Oswald whispered, and groaned at the mouse's stubbornness. "You need to rest sometime."
"I won't rest, Oswald. I failed her. I let that monster get to Minnie.." Mickey said, closing his eyes tight. "I...I can't do this without her..."
Oswald rubbed the back of his neck and gave a weak chuckle. "Now you know how I felt when during the thinner disaster." Mickey nodded, not listening to a word he said. Oswald frowned at his brother, he tried to say something but coughed harshly.
Mickey looked over to his brother. "Save your strength."
Oswald frowned. "Veronica's worried about you. Even CJ is."
"I know...I know..." Mickey whispered and turned to him. "Tell her I'll be fine. And that I'll get some rest. That'll appease her."
"Mickey, she's your DAUGHTER."
"She also can't know, alright?"
"Pretty hard to keep a villain war from THE KING OF DISNEYLAND'S DAUGHTER!"
"IF YOURE NOT GOING TO HELP, YOU CAN JUST LEAVE, THEN!" Mickey yelled.
Oswald was taken aback. "FINE." And he left the throne room.
CJ was trying to comfort Veronica. "He'll be okay."
"He's hiding something from me." Veronica said, angrily.
CJ sighed. "That's our dad's for you." She bit her lip. She had heard the rumours. But she wouldn't dare tell Veronica.
"What do you think it is?"
"I...I gave an idea. But I hope I'm wrong. If I'm not...Disney...Grandfather's paradise...might be lost...forever."
And it was then the two agreed mentally that nothing short of a miracle could save Disneyland now.
