Son of Zorn- The Ideal Man

The classroom bell rung outside of Alan's high school. He jogged out of the science room and up to a pretty young blonde girl carrying her school supplies, "Hey! Uh, Betty, do you want me to...hold those for you?" She smiled and tilted her head, "Uh, yeah! Sure! Thanks. Alan, right?" "Yeah," he responded with a smile. She handed him four books and they walked side-by-side. "So you just moved here from Wisconsin? Must be like, super different, right?" "Yeah! A lot more sun than I'm used to." She chuckled while nodding her head. "My mom's always wanted to live in California because of this whole...movie-star, sunny beaches and Hollywood scene! I told her that's not like...accurate cause all of California's different-" Although Alan was listening intently, his pace started to slightly slow down. His biceps grew sore and his grip on the books became awkward. He nodded at her every so often when she'd look in his direction while talking to ensure her he was listening and not struggling.

"-my cat's sort of a brownish-black so it's difficult to find him at night! And my flashlight had just died-" in the middle of her sentence, Alan grunted and spilled her books onto the floor. They overlapped each other in "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" And "God, I'm so sorry." He knelt to the floor to pick them up and she joined him. "I'm so sorry-" "No that's okay. I get it, they're pretty heavy. But it was still nice of you to offer." She gathered them together and stood up, "I'd better get going. My mom's waiting outside to pick me up. See ya later, Alan," she smiled sweetly and wiggled a few fingers goodbye. He leaned in for a hug but she'd already left, carrying the books with ease. He watched her leave and huffed out in a bummed sort of way.

Alan walked up the driveway and found his dad lying on his back underneath the car, struggling and groaning. "Dad?" he called out while walking towards him, "Dad." Zorn let out a powerful yell and a few strained grunts, "Dad! Are you okay?" All of a sudden the car levitated and lifted off the ground. Below, lay Zorn, pushing it up. Sweat beaded down his forehead and his arms shook slightly. Alan took a step back in surprise and amazement, "What are you doing!" his voice was barely audible to Zorn. "AAAnd!" he grunted, "50!" He stood up, lifting the car above his head, and flipped it upside down behind him in exhaustion. The neighbors standing outside gasped and pointed. Awe's and Oo's were heard down the whole block. "Hey, son, how was school?"
