The mines of Moria, a deep dark place with twisted tunnel s through which one could easily get lost. The fellowship was forced to go through them. The Cerbian of Dunland watching the southern passage and the snow covered mountains turning against them, things weren't looking up for them.
Moria, as they discovered held a stench of rotting bodies mixed with the smell of earth. The mines held death and cobwebs all over the place. None of them were pleases to be going through them, least of all Legolas. He hated the fact that his beautiful blonde locks caught many of the cobwebs like a duster. He miserably trudged through the mines, waiting for a sleep break. Yes, it did come. Gimli was put on watch while the rest tried to catch some sleep.
About halfway through Gimli's watch, silence was over them like a blanket. Nothing moved or no sound could be heard except for the occasional grunting by Pippin. Gimli was dozing off. Something moved in the shadows. It moved as silently as any living creature could. Reaching for a rucksack, it rummaged through it. Several seconds later, it pulled out a hairbrush. A smile etched across its face as it ran the brush through the tangled mess of blonde locks. A few minutes later, a stunned Aragon's voice broke the silence.
"Legolas, are you-?"
