I've been asleep for thousands of years,
When a voice fills my ears.
I meet someone who I am to befriend,
Now he shall be my friend.
He wants to help me out of this place,
Out of this crazy underground base.
I cannot tell him, that this is unsafe,
For I am just a speechless waif.
My long time enemy is asleep,
Much less quieter we may creep.
Now we must find a way out,
But my friend alarms me with a great shout.
She's waking up, my enemy,
This is not something I can bear to see.
She has taken my friend, thrown him away,
I fear I will not live another day.
I am forced against my will,
To do the work for my enemy's thrill.
All of this work puts me to the test,
I really need to try my best.
And finally, my friend, he's found,
And onward we are freedom bound.
We fall, finally out of her view,
And our escape plan is one which is new.
I help him disarm her weapons,
And another challenge beckons.
I see my name but move along,
For staying here would be too wrong.
I help him clear the air that's here,
And her plans shall be queered.
We're brought to her, the devilish one,
It's seems to her the game won't be won.
We take her out, my friend's dominance is double,
Yet it seems as though his sanity's in trouble.
He's gone against me, my only friend,
It seems my time has come to an end.
I do survive, but my enemy as well,
This is a challenge of which I must quell.
She's gone away, stolen from me,
My teammate who was my enemy.
I'm off to find her, my not-quite friend,
Because without her it would be my end.
I find her and scare away her risk,
Now that I'm with her, we need to be brisk.
We find our way to find him again,
My new enemy, and once my friend.
He puts me to work, giving me tasks and such,
Doing so is his only crutch.
He has no need for me, as I am told,
I need to let this story unfold.
He's going to kill me, I understand that,
I'm able to escape at the drop of a hat.
We're finding a way to get him down,
Off of his throne, so high off the ground.
We find him again, the final time,
For to leave him with power would be such a crime.
I battle with him, my used-to-be friend,
It is a battle until the end.
The path looks bleak, but I need to win,
I manage this, though the ice is thin.
He's gone forever, my friend-turned-enemy,
Gone away further than I could see.
I'm sent away now finally free,
I could almost grin with glee.
Then it returns, my old time friend,
I thought that so long ago it's time had end.
But this life is over, time to leave,
Because for my new life, this is the eve.
