I Met Him at the Bus Stop - An Eman Story

This takes place in an alternate universe. I also submitted this fanfiction over at The-N. This will be the "un-editted" version, if you will.

I sighed looking at the blank Word document.

This shouldn't be happening to me! I shouldn't get writers' block! I'm Emma Cameron– New York Times bestseller author! And I live in Toronto!

I look over at my husband, writing something of his own. I sigh loudly, hoping to catch his attention.

It worked. It always does. He looked up. "Trouble?"

"Kinda."

He smiles. "Want help?"

"Kinda." I repeat.

He immediately gets up and walks over to me, wrapping his arm around me. "Do your fans know I'm responsible for your story ideas?" he jokes. Ok, he thought of the idea for my last book, but that's it!

"Nope." I giggle, and kiss him. "They'll never recognize your brilliance." I add, half sarcastic.

"Ehh, you were the only one who ever did anyway."

"Awww, you always had a way with words." I sigh, leaning my head on him. "Remember when we met?"

"Yeah." he mutters, reminiscing.

"October 18, 2009..." I start.

"...At the bus stop." he finishes.

A light bulb in my head goes off. The bus stop. I met Sean at the bus stop. Who the hell meets their soul mate at the bus stop!? I could write about me and Sean!

"Perfect!" I whisper in his ear.

"What is?"

"Us! I could write a book about us! About how we met and fell in love and all of that!"

"Em, do you think that's a good idea? You usually write fiction." he reminds me.

"Yeah, but...it's so romantic! Meeting your partner at the bus stop!" I get more and more invested the more I think about it.

"People would like to read about that..." he trails off, predicting.

"Of course! My next book! And what's great is that I don't have to think of characters...we're the characters." I laugh.

"Well, if you think of it, it must be good." he whispers to me. He said that to me when I showed him some of my writing for the first time. May 12, 2010.

"I got the perfect title, too." I say as I'm typing:
