As I stepped of the train a feeling of relieve washed over me. I took a couple of deep breaths and let the truth sink in. She couldn't hurt me anymore. I was finally free.

I walked out of the station, dragging my few belongings behind me in a pink suitcase. The air smelled different here, it wasn't unpleasant or weird, but it brought back memories of a time when I was happy, of when my family was happy. Before he died. Before our lives fell apart. Before the pain, the torture.

A sigh escaped my lips as I contemplated whether or not I should get a cab or take the bus to my new apartment. After a quick glance at my wallet I reluctantly decide that walking probably would be the better option. I should save money, not waste it.

It did take me three hours, but I finally arrived at the small apartment. I was exhausted. Without even unpacking I spread the futon I found neatly folded in the closet out on the floor. As soon as my head hit the pillow my mind went blank and I fell into a deep sleep.

The world is darkness, my world is darkness. But there is something moving in the dark, I'm not alone. Something evil, something sinister is watching. I want to scream, but nothing comes out. Someone! Someone, please help me! Oh, god! It's coming! Please help! It's coming! The pain… Oh, the pain! It's coming, coming out of the shadows! Someone! HELP ME!

I wake up panting heavily and soaked in sweat. That dream again. I pick my phone up to see what time it is; 4:30. I suppose I might as well get up, I should be at school early anyway. Today was the entrance ceremony after all.

I walk into the bathroom to wash the memories of the nightmare away. I splash some cold water in my face and feel my panicked heartbeat slow down to its regular pace. The girl in the mirror looked pale and thin, as if she had been suffering from illness for an extended period of time. Her once vibrant, blue eyes looked dull and tired. Her long dark hair hung in stripes in front of her face, obscuring the fading bruises. I sigh and push my hair out of my face. Better start getting ready.

After applying a light cover of makeup, fixing my hair and putting on my new uniform I was out the door and off to start my brand new life as a high school student of Seirin High.
