Chapter one: A Lily And Scorpius story
Lily's POV
Lily carefully took the hat from McGonagall and set it upon her head, her eyes closing involuntarily. You seem more of a Slytherin fit then your brothers, It told her. I don't want to be a Slytherin, she thought. Why ever not? She considered this before replying: I don't think I'd like sleeping in the dungeons. Well all right then, Gryffindor! The hat exclaimed, shouting the last word aloud. Lily handed the hat, not so carefully, back to the headmistress and eagerly ran down the aisle to sit with Rose, Hugo, and her brothers. She didn't notice the puzzled eyes of Scorpius Malfoy watching her as she sat down to eat.
Scorpius's POV
Scorpius watched the sorting with no interest. One thing surprised him though: Lily Potter's sorting had taken much longer than her two brothers' sortings had. He wondered why and as he watched, he noticed something else about Lily: she was remarkably beautiful. She had inherited her mother's beauty, and as she sat down, her red hair swung gorgeously. Scorpius continued watching her through the feast, and was even more amazed by her eyes when she turned to look around. At the end of the feast, he eagerly ran up to her, saying "Hey, Lily, I know our family's haven't exactly had a great start but could we be friends?" Lily's eyes got brighter as she smiled and replied, "Sure!"
