So, this is my first time experimenting with these kinds of stories. This is mostly a Percy Jackson story, all you need to know about Doctor Who is that there was a battle called Canary Wharf at an organization from Torchwood, and the humans fought against these aliens called Daleks and Cybermen. And there was a shit load of people who were dead or injured.
The first and only time Layla saw Cybermen and daleks was during the battle of Canary Wharf.
She was at Torchwood with her mum to see her sister, who worked there.
She's still not over it a year later.
After the attack, Layla moved to Manhattan with her aunt.
A monster killed her aunt.
The demigods that killed the monster found her crouched under her bed in the middle of a panic attack. Her heart was pounding, and she couldn't breath.
They took her to Camp Half-Blood.
"You're a demigod" they explained
Time passes.
Layla gets claimed by Apollo.
And on her life goes, until she has another panic attack. This one is just as awful.
At least she's alone.
And no one finds her.
She knows what these heart-stopping moments are, she once read her mum's college textbooks.
They are panic attacks.
Layla doesn't tell anyone, she doesn't want anyone to think less of her.
She's getting worse.
She almost has one in public.
Luckily, she runs into the woods.
The ringing in her heaD geTS LOUDER.
With each attack.
This is her fault.
She isn't a good demigod, she'll never be a good one.
Layla is damaged.
And how can she ever be good.
She starts hurting herself, starts punching her stomach, starts burning her torso, and scratching her arms and legs.
She knows how to be descreet.
She knows she can sneak ambrosia if the burns get out of hand.
Layla knows that self-harm isn't a permanent solution.
And there is a way.
So she picks the least painful way.
She fills the bathtub with water
and she takes her knife
and is about to press down to her wrists when
when:
"OH MY GODS, LAYLA!" Shouts Will Solace. He runs and pulls the knife away from her and hugs her shaking, weeping form as she sobs into his chest. Will holds her, and doesn't say a thing.
"We are all here for you." He gently reminds her after a while. "Do you want to tell me why?"
So she tells him, and he quietly listens to her, about the Cybermen, her aunt, and the panic attacks.
And as she hugs Will, she feels as if a huge rock that was strapped to her chest has been released.
Layla isn't alright yet, but she can tell that she will be.
So, how did I do? I also went and researched panic attacks, because I personally have not experienced them. If I made any mistakes please let me know. Also, review!
