The Amazing Spider-Man
By HaleyAlexandria - I Do Not Own 'The Amazing Spider-Man', I Only Own My Character Alex/Alexandra
"Don't make promises you can't keep Mr. Parker." Mrs. Ritter tells Peter... He doesn't say anything, he made his promise, he knows it's the right thing to do. He doesn't want to hurt Gwen, he doesn't want to hurt anybody. He wants to help people...
The bell rings and she's out the door faster than anybody else. Peter gathers his things and walks down the hall, silently, step after step, unaware of anything, or anybody around him. He comes to his locker and blindly opens it, shoves his book inside and grabs his book bag. His feet carry him home without him really thinking about it. His says hi to Aunt May and heads up to his room where he does his homework and then falls asleep on the floor.
"You need to stop this moping around. You have a job to do, people to save. Life is hard Peter, especially for you... You're freaking Spider-Man!" Peter's mind tells him as he sleeps.
The dream, or the forcefulness of the voice scares him, his eyes shoot open and he sits straight up panting. "I know... I know." He whispers. He pulls on his suit and mask and goes out his window. Truthfully, although he won't admit it to anyone else, he feels free again, alive for the first time in weeks. Granted he has no idea what to do besides catch criminals, but that's a start right? People don't need to have every moment of their life planned out. Do they? Being bitten by a spider wasn't part of the plan, if he even had one to begin with.
He stops a few minor criminals, and enjoys himself like he did when he first developed his abilities. Maybe... just maybe, he can move past this in one piece.
(A/N: Short introduction. Just to show how Peter and Gwen fall apart. I hope everyone enjoys and sticks around for further chapters. I couldn't really add anymore to this chapter.
If anyone has any questions ask.)
