"Oi, Sora."
The seventeen year old sat by the shore, hidden in the back of the island.
"Hey riku." He muttered, a sad tone added to that. Riku loomed over Sora, his mood shifting to worry and confusion. "You're not the type of person who would get this depressed, Sora. What's wrong?" Sora remained silent, frowning. Riku plumped down beside him, now used to the feeling of coming home with wet jeans whenever he sat by the beach, a thing he seldom did. "It's not about kairi, is it?" He joked a little, hoping to brighten his mood, remembering the fights Sora and Kairi would have despite the fact that they're dating.

Sora thought back to the strange dreams he had last night. Visions of a woman in blue, a familliar voice in his headm and two kingdom keys fuzing together, followed by a hollow armor in a desolate land. And after that, the chilling thought of his friends, all slowly loosing to darkness one by one..
"You are the key." The voice in his dreams echoed in memory, haunting him again. "I am the key.." Sora muttered, repeating it again. "My ass.."

"Sora?" Riku asked again, clearly confused. "I don't get it!" He exclaimed, lying down on the sabd, "How am I supposed to bring them all back?!"

So that's what bugging him. Riku thought. "This whole thing. Xehanort, The Key to Return Hearts, The seven lights, the battle.."He cried. "Riku, It's too much!"
Riku frowned a little, understanding his pressure. "Things will be different." He reassured his companion.
"Kairi and I aren't going to just stay put, you know. I'll handle the missing three with mickey and Kairi's going to learn how to master the keyblade. You're going to just find that Key to Return Hearts, that's all."

Sora Sighed. "But still.. It's more than that. You and I both know that very well."
"You should focus on the actual problem at hand, Sora." Riku continued. "Forget about Xehanort and focus on your actual mission."
"How!?" Sora now sat up, angry tears forming. It's certain that this is more than it seems.

"Riku.." He cried. "How can you forget the time when Darkness nearly took over your heart?!"

Kairi warned Riku to watch out for Sora if he breaks down during this adventure. But before?

"I'm tired of this, Riku. I really am."
Riku sighed. "But you still managed to show up laughing like it was no deal." He blurted out, taking Sora aback.

Riku glanced at his friend, a wave a mixed expressions strewn about. "I'll promise you. We'll get through it together."

And before Sora could even protest, Riku stopped him, gently planting his lips on his like it was no big deal.
You idiot... Riku thought, Musing.

Kairi will kill me for this.. Sora Sighed, caught in the moment.

It continued that way until finally, Sora fell asleep, Riku towering over him.
"Better take him home." Riku muttered to himself.
