Short, I know. Way too many drabbles lately. OTL

Sometimes when they made love, it was like looking into a mirror.

Rin couldn't help but think that, anyway. Lily had the same beautiful, thick blonde hair that Rin did, and the two had the same pale skin, the same watery blue eyes, the same sweet pink lips. As they lay next to one another in Rin's bed, she couldn't help but stare at her softly sleeping lover—the way her chest rose and fell under the sheets, the way her lips hung pleasantly open as she sucked in the heady air surrounding them, the way her eyelids flickered from time to time as she doubtless fought monsters in a dream.

Rin loved her. She loved her silky blonde hair, her perfect smooth skin, the way she was as fierce as a tigress—she knew what she wanted, and she went after it with little to no inhibition. Lily was a strong woman, a fearless fighter, and an undoubtable role model for young Rin.

In truth, the girl idolized her. She wanted to be just like her; have the freedom, the power, to do anything she wanted, to go anywhere in peace, to see new things, meet and talk to new people. But mostly? To get away from Crypton, mainly from its members. Sure, she loved them, she never doubted that, but all of the negative views dragged to the ones who were upgraded—such as herself and her counterpart and their older sister—, the stress, the fan wars; it was too much. But it was times like these, as she lay in Lily's unconscious arms, their legs tangled together under the covers, so that they couldn't tell where one ended and the other began, that Rin found herself perfectly content with her life and with her world, that she couldn't possibly want for anything.

It was easy to fool their families, anyway. They were painfully daft, and they hadn't suspected anything out of the ordinary at the frequency of their sleepovers at Crytpon and at Internet. Ignorance, it seemed, was bliss.

They might not have ever approved, anyway, if both parties knew, and their rejection was something Rin didn't think she could bear to deal with. Freedom or not, she still thrived off of their love and support, and if she lost it, she wasn't sure even Lily would be able to save her from the utmost depths of despair.

She started to drift off to sleep, her fingers tangled in Lily's hair, her chin resting gently on her shoulder. Soon enough, she was letting out the deep, slow breaths of a sleeping child, and it was to this sound that Lily awoke, and to this thought as well—that Rin often looked like the child she was when she slept. An innocent, flawless little china doll that she'd seen in markets from hours of window shopping with Gumi and Miki, and her pink, pursed lips, thick blonde eyelashes, lightly flushed cheeks. . . she was perfect, Rin was. And Lily loved her.

But sometimes, she couldn't help but think, sometimes, that making love to her was quite like looking into a mirror. However, what was reflected was more than just their features. She smiled, and closed her eyes, and went back to sleep with thoughts of Rin's glassy blue eyes peering into hers.

A/N:

I don't know why, but I wanted to write something like this for quite some time since a good deal of fans keeping comparing Lily and Rin together by how they look and, I really don't know where I was heading by making this. . . But I hope some of you liked it, for the most part. ^^" Sorry, again, for the short length. OTL
