I Miss You

Chihiro, a girl of 11 years, quickly walked home from school. Her brown hair was tied in its usual ponytail with her purple hair tie. It glittered in the sunlight as her hair bounced on her back. She stared ahead with her face blank, but her mind was not.

Thoughts filled her mind of one dark haired boy with sparkling green eyes. Earlier over the summer he had helped her when her parents had been turned into pigs when they had accidentally wandered into the Spirit World. Before she left, he promised her they'd meet again one day.

I miss you Haku. I need to be with you. Her mind called out to him.

Chihiro's pace was fast, it was surprising that she wasn't knocking into anyone.

I wonder if Haku ever thinks of me. She thought.

She kept walking and felt as if she was floating as she went. She hardly noticed anything else.

I just miss him so much…I need to be with him…I have to see Haku again! I'll do anything! It's been almost a year…The thoughts kept running through Chihiro's mind. He promised we'd see each other again. Is he going to come to me? Or do I have to go to him…? But if I go to him….where do I find him now? I can't let go until I see him once more…

Chihiro kept going, her face still blank, she was almost running. She ignored all the passing faces as she made her way home. No one would have known that her mind was filled with so many thoughts.

Haku! Her mind cried. I miss you so much! I need to see you or I'll go crazy! Her mind kept screaming.

Chihiro began sprinting to keep her tears from falling. She made up her mind. She hardly paid attention to where her feet carried her. But she knew where she was going. She ran to the tunnel entrance, not taking time to notice the long grass and green brush all around her. She didn't stop until she reached the bridge of the bath house.

She rested on the railing, catching her breath. Where was she supposed to find him now that she was here? The tears spilled over, hot and fast. She slid down and hugged her knees, burying her face in them.

"Haku…" She sobbed.

"Yes?" A familiar voice asked.

Chihiro gasped and looked up. Haku was staring down at her with his bright green eyes.

"Haku!" She cried, jumping up and into Haku's arms. "Haku, why didn't you come?" You promised…" Chihiro said.

"I'm sorry…I couldn't…" Haku said sadly.

Chihiro just nodded and was happy to just hold onto him.

Haku wrapped his arms around her as well. "I missed you…" He whispered.

"I missed you too…" Chihiro whispered back.

THE END
