Summary: 275 word drabble. "She'd reject him… he is a Malfoy and Malfoys are scum and that is what Weasleys do when Malfoys come on to them." A short and sweet pointless scene set during dinner. Implied DG.

She's pretty, but not striking, her hair has a strange orange tinge (as all the Weasley's do) and her ivory skin is sprinkled with freckles. He's above her in looks and charm, he could have anyone, but something is drawing him to the Weaslette.
He could make a move on her, but that would put his pride on the line. She'd reject him, because he is a Malfoy and Malfoys are scum and that is what Weasleys do when Malfoys come on to them. Draco is above rejection, especially rejection from someone as poor as her.
He finds himself watching her from his table ignoring the conversation surrounding him. She's headstrong, challenging. He catches her eye, she scowls at him a hard look on her face. He smirks as she turns away. He admires her tendencies to say what's on her mind no matter how people may react. She's different.
She mingles with the people at her table, he watches her intently. She doesn't want to look over, but finds herself doing it despite her better judgment.
She nervously flicks her eyes toward him, trying to determine whether his eyes are still on her. They are, she looks away and his smirk grows wider. She glances toward him a few more times before she decides on staring determinedly at her plate. He can't look away, his eyes stay focused on her. She is alluring.
However, she is a Weasley. A modest Gryfindor brat who isn't all that beautiful. He is a Malfoy. Rich, powerful and charming. He could do better, but this doesn't stop him from watching her with the mild interest that is attraction.

A/N: I have a billion little plot bunnies in my head, tearing each other apart trying to be the one that gets down on paper. This isn't one of them, this is something I wrote to fill the boring gap in this cloudy summer day. Blah.
Well you know the drill. Please review, criticize me, flame me, threaten me! Do something so I know that you exist.
