Emotional Disasters

The sun was high above the horizon and the smell of freshly cut grass was filling the air. All was quiet, except for one house on Privet Drive where the Dursley's lived, and of coarse, one wizard.

"Boy! Come here!" yelled Vernon Dursley from his usual comfortable chair by the fireplace. Harry Potter was cleaning the kitchen over Petunia Dursley's orders. He put down the dish he was wiping on the counter and slumped over to his uncle.

"Yes, sir?" he said, trying not to get scolded at for being impolite. Aunt Petunia's morning opera started to begin from the hall as she called for Harry's cousin, Dudley, who was up in his room sleeping.

"As you may, or may not know, our distant neise is coming to visit for a few months, so don't say anything that you shouldn't. If you do, you'll be locked up in your room for the rest of the time." grunted Uncle Vernon, as he pushed his way off of the chair. He had gained impressive weight over the summer; leaving him almost twice the size he was the year before. "Don't mess this up."

"Yes sir." Harry sighed this remark, letting his uncle waddle past him. Harry wasn't looking forward to meeting the guest, who would arrive soon enough. "She's most likely the same as the Dursley's. Better go hide my magic stuff." He thought, with his arms crossed. At that moment, Dudley had pounded his way down the steps, shaking the house with his enormous body. "You'd think his legs would snap under that weight." Harry smiled at this thought. Dudley was passing by in his flannel pj's, laughing at Harry's small size and messy appearance.

"Yeah, shrimp, don't do anything you shouldn't do." Mocked Dudley with cross-eyes. He snorted down the hallway, making his large belly jiggle. Harry looked after him, pulling an eye pocket down and sticking his tongue out. Feeling a little better, he took one step at a time up the stairs to his small room.

About half an hour later, the Dursley's had managed to make the house cleaner than it was before. "Humph, over acheivers." Harry whispered under his breath. They were all standing in the living room, smiling, trying to make a good impression on their distant niese. A car stopped in front of the house and a tall, skinny girl came out.

"Smile, boy." Uncle Dudley hit Harry slightly on the back of his neck. He cracked a small smile.

The doorbell rang, and Aunt Petunia leaped from her spot, like a statue just coming alive thinking it was a grasshopper. Her strangly hands gripped the handle and she banged it against the wall.

"SWEETY! How happy to see you!" She opened her arms wide, waiting for a back cracking hug. Her smile widened a bit more. It was so innocent that it looked evil kinda. The girl took a step forward, letting everybody else take a gander at how much she had grown since the last time they all saw her. Except for Harry, this was the first time he had ever seen her. The last time she was here, he was away at Hogwarts. She put her luggage down and amazingly hugged Aunt Petunia. (How could anyone do anything so drastic???)
