Chance Encounters
It was raining, no not raining pouring. the drops soaking through any coat and leaving their inhabitants cold and wet. So here I was walking around downtown LA at 9 at night. Why you may ask was I doing that? Well, it was simple. I had been stood up. I was supposed to meet someone for dinner and a movie but they just happened to not show up. This is great, just great I thought as I stormed down the street not caring where I was going. I slammed into something as I rounded a corner, it felt like the equivalent of a stone wall, wincing I held my held shooting a glare up at what I had walked into, "Woah! Lady you okay! The hero didn't see you there!" The wall, no scratch that, the man I had walked into said, peering down at me with bright blue concerned eyes, hidden behind his thin rimmed glasses. He was tall, maybe 5 inches taller than myself with blonde hair and a giant shit eating grin on his face. "Ummm you okay?" He said his eyebrow arching into an elegant curve. I snapped out of my trance blushing lightly as I realized I had been staring at him. "Y-yeah, I'm great. Sorry, bye." I said quickly rushing past him and back into the darkening streets of L.A.
Well..that was strange I thought, slowing my pace slightly and thinking back on the encounter. He was really attractive...by now I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, taking random corners and slowly walking into the darker part of the city. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice the hand reaching out towards me until I was grabbed and roughly pulled into the alley I had just passed. "what're you doin out 'is late girly?" the voice said, glancing up my mind finally caught up with my situation. I was cornered alone with three large men blocking all the exits. I glanced around wildly suddenly understanding how the caged raccoon's feel. I need to get out of here...NOW ! I bolted, trying to shove my way past the smaller man. I was yanked back roughly a hand tangling itself in my hair and dragging me backwards.A scream tore itself out of my throat, loud and high, I was hoping beyond belief there would be someone around to hear me. My mind flashed back to the stranger but immediately crossed that out, he was blocks away, and people didn't just run towards a scream like that. When I came back to myself was pinned against the brick wall behind me the jagged stones digging into my back. They were smiling at me now, vicious and cruel, their eyes shining like one of my cats from when I was younger had when it had just caught a bird, predatory. It sent shivers down my spine. I squeezed my eyes closed when I felt a hand ghost down my side. My mind was a mess, all I could think about was giant blue eyes and how he was the last friendly person I would see. I whimpered tears streaming down my face. The hand on my side stopped its movements suddenly, instead it clamped down on my wrists. immobilizing me even further.
I was giving up, my body shutting down I felt my body droop falling limp in my captors arms. It wasn't until I felt a giant rush of wind pass my face did I bother with opening my mind. My hands were free I realized, feeling their weight tug me down to the ground my body finally giving out beneath me. I opened my eyes, my vision blurry as it was could make out a face peering down at me, not a vicious face, but a face with giant blue eyes...I smiled lightly trying to croak out a thank you but instead I felt myself start to sway, slowly collapsing into the black.
