A/N So! New fanfic. This chapter is Connor/Imogen but the next will be Connor/Kevin FRIENDSHIP. I will update at some point in the near future, most likely at the weekend. I hope this brings you feels!

"So, you never fully told me what happened at the studio today", Connor said, trying to prompt his wife into telling him more about what had happened on the set of The Noble Show earlier, as they had never really gotten into the details, all he knew was Kevin's mother had turned up. That had shocked him at first, he didn't know anything about Kevin's life, he never really talked about it. Connor had always assumed Kevin had no recollection of his parents, but it turned out he was wrong. He knew he should have been there to support his best mate, but he really hadn't wanted to betray his mum, especially on her first day as head. Connor twisted to look at Imogen, the two of them were currently entwined on his mums sofa, while she was out with Sally, trying to get to know her better.

"Mmm", Imogen replied, but Connor could tell she was trying to put off telling him.

"Come on Imogen. You know Kevin won't tell me himself." That last statement seemed to make up Imogen's mind for her as she pulled out of Connors embrace and turned down the volume on the tv.

"Well, not much happened until Daisy started speaking." Seeing the confused look on Connors face she added, "that's Kevin's mum. And, well right from the start she seemed intent on making Kevin feel bad. She told everyone that he was overly possessive, can you imagine that?, Kevin, being over-possessive? Then she called him all these names, and blamed him for her miscarriage. He was six when that happened, and she still blames him now, I don't want to think what she was like when he was little. Then she got angry, and she got right up close to him and was yelling, right in his face. Connor, he looked so scared. I've never seen Kevin that scared before. I don't know what would have happened if your mum hadn't come when she did." Imogen finished, hoping she had included enough detail, but it still felt like betraying Kevin in some way, after all, it was his life.

"What about his dad?"

"Connor, his dad left when he was five, then his step-dad kicked him out when he was ten. God, Connor, they made him sleep on the couch. What parent does that?!"

Sensing Imogen's distress Connor pulled her into a hug and rested his chin on her head. He still felt guilty that he hadn't been there for his best mate, especially when he had needed him the most. Connor made a mental note to chat to Kevin about this tomorrow.
