Tina sat, curled up. Her head was in her knees, and she sounded like she was sobbing.
Lee was talking with the others when he took a quick glance at Tina.
Something must be wrong, he thought to himself. Lee decided to talk to her.
"Tina?" he asked.
Tina looked up. She was wiping tears away from her eyes. "What?" she screamed.
"Is something wrong?"
She looked down. "Yes. It's my family. They've always shamed me for not being a genius, and I'd get into fights with them. I can't say how many times I've told them I hated them." Tina wiped another tear from her eye. "I wish I had a better relationship with them before the Wursts kidnapped me."
"Hey," Lee knelt down. "We've been trying to find a way out. We'll get out."
"Lee!" she cried. "We've been away for more than a week. What's to say they don't think we're dead?"
"Son," his mom appeared. "Spend some time with your friends. I'll deal with your girlfriend."
Lee opened his mouth to speak but decided to shut up. He gave a sad glance towards to Tina and walked away.
Mrs. Ping looked down at Tina.
"You need some sleep. It might do you some good," suggested Mrs. Ping.
Then she helped Tina up and took her to her temporary dorm to help her to sleep.
