It will be as if I never existed. The words played over and over inside my head. It'd been a week since Edward left, yet I still remember our exact conversation the day of his departure. Edward said his family and him would never return to Forks. Everyone thought I was crazy for being so devoted to him. 'He's just a boy. You'll move on!' they all said. But, to me, he was more than just a boy. He was my life. Without Edward, I am not complete. Nobody will be able to fill the whole in my heart that Edward left.

I got out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I took a really long shower, just to waste some time. I appeared downstairs only to find the house empty. Charlie probably went to Billy's.

I poured myself a bowl of Corn Pops and started eating them. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. Who could that be?

Slowly, I opened the door and found myself face to face with Billy's son, Jacob.

"Hey Bella!" he grinned.

"Uh Hey Jacob," I replied.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure," I opened the door and gestured him inside.

"Thanks."

"Mhm. So, what brought you up this way, Jacob?"

"Look, Bella, Charlie sent me. He says you've been cooped up in the house for a week now. He's worried about you."

"Well... tell him I prefer to be alone! I like being inside all day."

"Bells, this isn't heathy for you. I'm not gonna lie, you look terrible. Besides, I really wanted to spend some time with you..."

"Oh... well, I guess we could do something today.."

"Sweet! Where would you like to go?"

"Where ever Edward went.." I muttered.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. You should pick where we go. It was your idea."

"Hmm.. should we go see a movie?"

"Only if you want to."

"Okay. Let's go then!" Jacob brought me out to his Rabbit and opened the door for me. We drove to the movie theater in silence. I didn't wanna be with Jacob right now. I wanted to go home where I could sulk in peace, but I guess that wasn't gonna happen.

I didn't pay any attention to the movie. By the sounds of the audience, I could tell Jake picked a horror movie.

"Did you have fun?" Jake asked as we were heading to the parking lot.

"Yep."

"That's good. If you want to, we could go to the beach tomorrow. You know, down in La Push."

"I guess we could." The beach sounded kind of fun, actually.

"You know Bella, you really shouldn't be this upset over Edward.."

I cringed when he said his name. "Well I am. You don't even know, Jacob. I loved him."

"Sorry Bella... Well it's about time you move on. He wasn't gonna be around forever. You knew that."

"I can't move on. It's impossible."

"It is possible. Just look around. I'm sure you'll find someone.."

"Doubt it. Okay, well, here's my house. Thanks for taking me out tonight, Jacob."

"Sure, sure. I'll call you tomorrow!" He yelled out out the window of his car as he drove away.

I opened the door and hurried inside. I saw Charlie on the couch, watching T.V. "Hey, Dad!" I exclaimed. No response. He must've dozed off. I ran upstairs to my room, put on my pajamas, laid in my bed, and drifted off to sleep.
