A/N: A Jeller drabble post final 3x18 scene. I really need them to just TALK.

I Choose You

"I would have come back."

Her voice gave him pause and Kurt turned around from the sink to find Jane looking at him from across the kitchen countertop.

"What?"

"There was this monk in Kathmandu. Every single time I climbed that mountain, she tried to convince me to go back home… She could see the longing in my eyes." - Jane shuddered, not truly wanting to remember her lonely times in Nepal. - "I missed you so much, Kurt. Sometimes, it felt like someone was literally crushing my heart."

"Jane…" - Kurt took a few steps towards her, intending to stop her from going down that road. They both knew how much it hurt and there was no need to relive that time.

Not ever again.

"I need you to know that at some point, even if we had arrested Roman in DC, I would have found a way to come back to you. I don't know how. I don't know when, but being without you was the hardest thing I've ever done. And…" - She reached forward and took his hands in hers, resting them on the countertop that was still between their bodies.

"It nearly killed me too, Kurt. And I'm sorry if anything I've done made you think otherwise."- She averted her eyes, willing herself not to think about all of her mistakes, especially one named Clem.

How stupid had she been.

Kurt withdrew his hands from hers and she looked up startled. He made his way to her side with resolute steps and determination on his face.

"You don't have to tell me these things, Jane."

"I do." - He was shaking his head but she carried on before he could interrupt her again.

"You deserve to know that being with you is better than anything that happened while I was away and if I had to choose between K&R and life in Kathmandu or you and our life together, I would always without hesitating, regrets or second thoughts choose you. I'll always choose you, Kurt."

He closed the remaining distance between them, both of his hands framing her face. He pulled her forward and rested his forehead against hers.

"That's the thing about us, Jane..." - He smiled as his thumbs started to softly caress her cheeks. - "We'll always choose each other."

She nodded against his head and leaned forward, taking his mouth in hers. She kissed him slowly, pouring into it everything her words could never convey.

"I love you." - She whispered, out of breath, against his lips. - "I will never stop loving you."

"I love you too, Jane." - One of his hands tangled in her hair, pulling her back so she could see his eyes. - "Never stopped and never will."
