Rights to Rick

Percy stomped up the stairs, grumbling under his breath. As he emerged from below decks, he saw Leo working on the mast, and slumped over to him.

"Hey Percy," Leo said, wiping sweat off his brow, and smiling widely. Earlier that day her had announced he was making process with ship upgrades, and had been giddy ever since.

Percy, on the other hand, was in a pouty kind of mood.

"Has Annabeth eaten anything today?" he asked Leo as he slunk down beside him.

Leo looked at him, bewildered.

"How am I supposed to know?" Leo exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air. "I don't even know if I have eaten anything today, much less Annabeth. I mean I know I am the All Knowing, but I don't bother with things like that," he said with a smirk.

Percy chuckled and stood up, wiping his hands on his jeans. Nothing like a conversation with Leo to cheer you up, he thought to himself.

Leo looked up at Percy from the ground. "Why do you ask?" he asked innocently.

"I was just talking to Annabeth, and she was so focused on her work that when I asked her if she had eaten anything, she told me to ask you," Percy explained.

Leo raised his eyebrows, and before he could say anything, Piper walked up the stairs. "What's up guys?" she said, sheathing her knife

"Percy here needs more attention from his girlfriend," Leo said, singing the last word. Percy scratched the back of his head, embarrassed, as Piper laughed.

"I bet you had the same kind of conversation with Annabeth that I did," she said. "Don't worry Percy, she'll take a break eventually," Piper said with a smile.

At least Piper knew what Percy was worried about. It wasn't that Annabeth wasn't paying attention to him, although Leo swore up and down that it was, but would she at least take a break? She was going to drive herself crazy with all the thinking. He knew he would.

Percy shook his head. He was being unreasonable. She had an important mission ahead, and it would be better if she was prepared. And then after that, maybe they could spend more time together. He had always wanted to bring Annabeth to Montauk, and that ice cream shop with the olive flavored ice cream, or…

Percy, whose ADHD was keeping him lost in thought, didn't notice the new person on the deck.

Annabeth's hair was up in a messy ponytail, her eyes bright with concentration.

"I heard someone missed me," she said, crossing her arms with a smirk.

Percy grinned. "Maybe," he said. "But I definitely want to show you this new sandwich I have created, you'll love it," he said, pulling her by the arm. Annabeth rolled her eyes, a smile creeping up on her face as she followed him down to the dining hall.

Piper and Leo were left on deck. Leo resumed his work on the mast and Piper sighed. "Those two," she said. "Mom outdid herself," she whispered, smiling after the happy couple.
