Enjolras was laid down on a bed made in the cafe. He had no idea that his "little" revolution was failed. Most of the Les Amis were dead. Even his poor friend Grantaire. When Enjolras wakes up, he's in for a surprise and a ton of disappointment to come.

Enjolras fluttered open his eyes and automatically regretted it. The light was so bright, it caused him a headache. He shook his head, his bouncy blonde curls swooshing in both directions. He almost sat up, but felt extreme pain. Mostly in his chest area. He looked down at himself and saw his shirt and vest missing. Plus his coat and cravat. His chest was bare. He immediately covered himself in the sheets that lay on him. He felt a little grime on his arms and his face had a little dried blood decorated on it. Enjolras felt uncomfortable and heard groans to his side. He tried turning his whole body and turned his head instead so he didn't feel the pain.

He saw right before his eyes Mademoiselle Eponine Thenardier on the bed. But he thought she died in Monsieur Marius' arms. He saw it right in front of his eyes. She had blood oozing all over her man shirt and her eyes gently shutting for good. Or so he thought. But the question is still ringing in his head: How did he,Enjolras, survive? He was shot in the stomach and fell out the window. At least that's what it felt like to him. Then he remembered, Eponine was right by him.

He grinned, thinking a friend was here and that he could talk to. Someone who isn't dead and will actually listen.
Enjolras cleared his throat that was dry and hoarse.

"Ep-Eponine?" Enjolras asked, his voice incredibly deep and hoarse. He blinked his eyes and then returned his attention to Eponine.

Eponine tossed and turned and he could see her wince. She was mumbling something, but he couldn't understand a single thing she was saying. Then she woke right up.

"Marius!" she tried shouting. Most people stared at her then returned to what they were doing. She then turned to her left and saw Enjolras.

"Oh, it's just you," Eponine joked. Enjolras chuckled.

"Nice to see you too Eponine." said Enjolras and Eponine laughed.

"Your voice, is so, deep," she laughed and then became worried.

Enjolras noticed her odd behavior change and furrowed his eyebrows.

"What's wrong 'Ponine?" he asked.

She started trembling. "Where-Where's Marius?"

Enjolras froze. Yeah, where was he? He turned to the ceiling and shrugged.

"I'm sorry 'Ponine, I don't know to be honest." was the only thing Enjolras could reply to her. She just nodded and felt tears go down her warm cheeks.

"Please God, bring him home to us." was what Eponine mumbled and went back to sleep.
