Hey all my dearest friends and readers! I am back with another story inspired by the end of Twilight Princess. I hope you enjoy it!
Disclaimer: I own nothing related to Twilight Princess.
Broken Victory
The (soon-to-be-Queen) Princess Zelda walked around her chambers and sighed at the large window for what seemed like the thousandth time that very hour.
She watched several men, women, and children living out their normal lives; playing in the square, shopping at the stores and booths, just living life.
Everything…
Everyone…
Normality…
Happiness…
It pleased the young Princess that her people were able to move on from what happened just six months prior.
Yet the same couldn't be said about her.
Ever since her dark and lonely imprisonment, she knew that everything was entirely her fault.
Her entire kingdom was no longer filled with life, now only filled with misery and fear.
She had given up everything to ensure their safety. And there was nothing she could do, even if she had the power to do it.
Zelda closed her eyes and before she knew it, a pair of sky-blue feral like eyes appeared.
She knew exactly who owned those eyes.
They were the eyes of her Hero.
The one who had done so much to save her and her kingdom.
She met him as a majestic wolf and eventually saw him in his true form.
As much as she tried to deny it, she couldn't help but find him quite handsome, to the point where she had fallen in love with him.
With the way she was feeling, love was very much like torture to her…much like her solitude.
All her life, Zelda never knew what it was like to fall in love with someone…or what it's like to be loved in return.
She was pretty sure that the latter was never going to happen, even if he did love her back.
The fact that she had his friendship pleased her well and even sent a letter to his village offering an opportunity to be her consort.
She turned towards her bed and looked at the envelope that rested on it. Within a few days, Zelda had received a letter in response, but had been too nervous to open it in fear of what it might say.
After gently picking up the old fashioned envelope, she opens it slowly with her nerves still on edge.
Finally pulling the letter out, the princess read it slowly and carefully.
"I can't believe it…" she tearfully whispered.
Cliffhanger isn't itXD
I hope you enjoyed it!
