1.

The first one is stuck to her mirror.

One of those yellow post-it notes, that she used to need to keep her schedule on track.

Well, her schedule is empty now.

You're beautiful.

She looks at him, he is still fast asleep cuddled in blankets, she thinks it's cute of him, to try to cheer her up, even though she is not sure if it will work.

2.

She finds another one on the inside the front door.

You're brave.

She takes a deep breath and opens the door.

3.

One waits for her in the car, tapped to her steering wheel.

You're smart.

She cannot help but smile, and wonders how far he is planning on taking this.

4.

He calls right before she has to go inside Julian, you're a dork she tells him but a cute one.

He laughs, you're pretty cute yourself is his reply.

5.

She was not lying when she told him she doesn't know who she is any more, doesn't know what she is doing.

But she knows she never thought she would be one of those people who only define themselves over their work.

Maybe there is more of her mother in her than she admitted.

It takes her almost 30 minutes to open her laptop.

She closes her eyes, and can already see the headlines of the online news and the mails full of complain.

But when she opens them again, she only sees another note, stuck to the screen.

You have something called integrity.

Maybe that means she is not like her mum after all?

6.

She is halfway through a meeting with her attorneys and ready to throw the towel when she gets the text.

You're strong.

She makes it through meeting.

She is not sure it will help, but you have to take it one step at a time, right?

7.

When she finally makes it home, it's already dark.

Her meeting took longer than she expected, and after that there had been an even longer conference call with former business partners.

Now she is tired and just wants to go to sleep.

She turns the kitchen light on, wants to get a glass of water, and notices another post-it on the fridge door.

It's hanging among the pictures she tapped there when she first moved in.

One of her and her best friend. One taken at prom. A few with all of them, taken on different occasion, all with bright eyes and easy smiles.

You're a good friend.

8.

And right under that one she spots another.

You're a great girlfriend too.

She traces the letters with her fingers, feels warmer inside.

9.

At first, she thinks he is already asleep, but he opens his eyes when she walks in.

Looks at her, in her tiny nightgown, you're really sexy, you know?

She climbs into bed, snuggles against him.

10.

Her head is resting on his chest, his arms are wrapped around her and he is stroking her hair.

And he asks so, how was you day, Brooke Davis?

She lets herself think about it for a little while, knows that everything is a mess around her, that there is so much to worry about that she doesn't even know where to start, so it really surprises her when she fells absolutely fine.

Maybe she has no idea what she is doing, but it seems like she still knows who she is.

She is still Brooke Davis, and that is enough for know.
