So, I wrote this for a challenge. I'm decently happy with it considering I was half asleep when I wrote it.

She felt the laughter bubbling up in her chest, but it wasn't a warm feeling like the laughter when she was happy. This was a cold, hollow feeling that hurt her chest and fought with the lump in her throat, causing a warm wetness to gather in her eyes and fall down her cheeks. It wasn't tears, oh no, she's wasn't sad (though truth be told she wasn't quite sure what she was, this was a whole new feeling). It was just wetness- water that fell from her eyes.
'Ino, I'm sorry. I did all I could. At least the baby was saved.' The hokage tried to comfort the woman with words- word that meant nothing.
She snapped. The cold hollow laughter was released in a mixture of coarse barks and pain-filled sobs. Tsunade stared at the usually composed woman in shock.
Had she been in her right mind, Ino would have known she was in hysteria- would have known she appeared crazy, but as it was, she wasn't in her right mind. She was, after all, hysterical.
What did she care about come bastard child? Some wretched creature that took away the only woman she loved- no, the only person she loved. The only thing in the whole world that made her whole was gone, and for what? Some child conceived of lies. Ino has stolen Sakura away from that man; she had sworn she would never give her back. Now, she was without the woman she loved. She lost her again to that wretched man.
She felt like screaming, so she did. She felt like sobbing, so she did. She felt like collapsing to the floor, so she did. She felt like hurting the man who was the cause of her pain, of her loss, and so she would if ever again presented with the chance. She felt like destroying the terrible creature that stole her love's life, …
!#$&()
Ino felt her heart break more as she gazed down into green eyes that were identical to the ones she had looked into the night before when she went to sleep. Eyes identical to those she fell into whenever she was having a bad day. Eyes identical to her Sakura's eyes.
She knew now, no matter how hurt she was, she couldn't take it out on this child- this carbon copy of her lover. Perhaps she was a fool, but she wanted to watch over this baby. She wanted some remnants of her Sakura. She wanted something much more physical than just memories. Lucid judgment would have told her to give the baby to its father, that it would hurt too much to stay in contact with this little demon, but better judgment stopped reaching Ino the moment she heard the words 'she's dead.'
A woman once thought level-headed and calm had now become one more person claimed by the insanity that is love.
