First Time in Forever: Chapter 1
OMG my first RotG fanfic! I could've sworn the fandom hit me like a snowball lol. Sooooo anyway here's the first chapter! Btw, the story will be in my OC's Point of View.
6:30 am on Friday morning, well, at least it's the last day of school before winter holidays. "Vicky? Are you awake yet?" I heard my mom calling from downstairs. "Yeah." I mumble with my face still buried in my pillow. I was unusually tired this morning. Then I heard my bedroom door creak open. "Come on sweetheart, you don't want to be late for school." My mom told me as she walked in. "It may be the last day but..." Suddenly I sat straight up in bed. "Ok I'm coming." I blankly told her. I got up and went to look in my closet for something to wear. It would usually be a cardigan, jeans, knee-high boots and my favourite purple woollen hat. As soon as I got dressed I heard my phone ring. It was my best friend Hailey. "Hey girl, I just wanted to make sure you're comin' to school today. I wanna hear more about what you're gonna do on your holiday. See you in a couple minutes. Bye!" Was all I could hear. Man that girl can talk fast. I dashed downstairs to find my mom making pancakes. "Mmmm! It's been a while, dear deliciousness!" I said staring at the plate of freshly made pancakes. "Victoria! Mind your manners!" Mom scolded. "Ha! I get first helping!" Said that little monst...I mean brother of mine Charlie. "Hey I called dibs first!" I yelled back. "Will you two please stop bickering?" Mom said sternly. "Sorry, Mom." We both said and took our pancakes with her supervision making sure we didn't argue again. Suddenly my older sister Beverley, came running down the stairs. "Mom have you seen my troop badge? We have a meeting today." She asked our mom, out of breath. "It's in your third drawer, honey." She answered. And Beverley ran back upstairs. "Well, I'd best be getting to school, it is the last day." I said, casually heading for the front door. "And where are you off to?" Mom suddenly asked me. Great, I was caught red-handed. "Remember I told you yesterday to climb up to the attic and fetch that box?" Mom reminded me. "But.." "No buts, in fact, get your butt up there." She smiled at me. I pouted and headed upstairs to the attic. I stared at the trapdoor in the ceiling. "Bev, how do you open the door to the attic?" I shouted to my sister, who was in her bedroom nearby. "There's a rope hanging on the wall, untangle it and let it go." She answered back. So I checked the wall, found the rope, untangled it and let it drop to the floor. Suddenly the trapdoor opened and stairs unfolded with it. "Hm cool." I whispered to myself as I walked up the thin stairs. A couple minutes searching through dust I soon found the box. I ran downstairs without bothering to close the trapdoor. I put the box on the kitchen counter and headed straight for the front door. "Bye Mom! Bye Bev! Bye Charlie!" I greeted everyone in the house and slammed the door. Mom can scold me later.
Oh wait, I haven't exactly said anything about myself have I? Well, my name is Victoria Heather Greenwood. Though everyone calls me Vicky or Tori. I'm 17 years old and I go to South Beaumont High School near Florida. At school, I'm pretty much considered an art freak. I do not wear glasses nor wear braces, though. I have straight, shoulder-length brown hair with dark blue highlights. My eyes are a mix of green and orange, weird right? Compared to most of my friends I am oddly tall, easily a little more than 5.4". Currently it's the last day of school and I'm super pumped to go on winter vacation. Thing is, living in Florida obviously means here it doesn't snow. So my mom is going on a business trip to Pennsylvania and she decided to have us tag along. I really can't wait!
"Hey girl!" An excited voice called out to me as I entered our school grounds. Turns out, it was Hailey. "Hi Hailey. How's it goin'?" I greeted her back. "I'm cool. So...c'mon tell tell tell!" She shouted. She's always hyper-active. "Well we're going to Pennsylvania for 2 weeks. And that hopefully means lots of snow." I told her. "Oh my gosh I've never even been near snow yet. I wonder exactly how cold it is." She said with a quizzical look on her face. I chuckled a bit. "Yeah, and all snowflakes falling, the frost on your window every morning. I'm really excited to be experiencing all that." I smiled at the grey sky. "I have an idea!" Hailey suddenly jumped around hysterically, nearly causing her glasses to fall off. "What?" I asked her. "We could video chat while you're there! Then you could maybe show me what it's like out there! Huh, what do ya say?" She suggested. "Brilliant idea, Hailey!" We high-fived as the school bell rang to start the day.
Wooooow I can't wait to see how this goes. Since this is the first time I'm writing a story in my own point of view. X3 I'll try to update ASAP but high school is breathing down my neck. DX Anyway, please Read & Review! :-)
Icy kisses!
