This was the part Tsuna hated. The battles. The fighting. Watching as those he cared about bleed, faces twisting in pain. Hated that he too was hurting someone else. But more than anything, Tsuna hated how good having that power felt. He despised himself for wanting more and feeling that thrill run up his spine as he defeated a opponent. For this reason, Tsuna believed he was a bad person. He Knew he was a bad person. He knew every time he stood over a opponents body, he knew every time he dragged himself back to base, and he knew every time one of his guardians would come in to 'comfort' him, because he wasn't strong enough to deal with it on his own. Tsuna was a bad man, and a weak one too.

But as Gokudera watched his Boss once again bow his head for the fallen on either side he knew that it was what made Tsuna strong. Because Tsuna understood he hurt someone with each victory and kept fighting to protect his family anyway. Because Tsuna cried they followed him. Not because he killed. For Tsuna's tears were that of an angel damned to live on earth. They were innocent and tragic. Because he not only cried for himself but all those he hurt. And that was exactly why Gokudera stood to the side with the rest of the guardians ready to give their lives if necessary, to protect the angel that lead them. To protect that kind but strong flame that burned with in Tsuna's heart. Because Tsuna truly was, a good man.
