Chapter 1
Would you be dance, if I asked you to dance?
It was a chilly, clear night in the middle of January. Stars twinkled and a full moon lit the dark blue sky. It was a beautiful night. A perfect night for the school dance. Girls were getting their hair done and making their faces pretty with the help of their best friends, Mary Kay and Lorelei. Guys combed their hair and made sure their ties matched their shirts. Well...most of the guys did.
It was seven and the night was dark. The winter ball was just beginning. Thirty minutes later cars were still pulling up. By around 7:45 most people had arrived. Things were in full swing...
Heero walked into the heavily decorated gymnasium on the arm of his date, Relena. He did not want to come to this poor excuse for a social gathering. The only reason he was going was because Relena was paying him $50. Relena needed Heero as a date because Dorothy bet her $50 that she couldn't get one. Relena was always short on brain cells. She ditched him as soon as she was sure that Dorothy saw them. Heero was beginning to turn around and leave when someone tapped on his shoulder.
Heero turned around and saw a handsome boy with long hair, tidied up into a braid. The boy wore a wide grin. Heero sighed.
"What is it Duo?"
"I see your date ditched ya, Heero."
"God. That woman always has to find us. Whatever school we go to!" Heero began to lose his cool.
"Yah. Well at least you're never dateless for the dances." A flock of girls cooed to Duo. He flashed them a quick grin and they all sighed. One almost fainted.
Heero rolled his eyes. "Looks as though you aren't short of dates either."
Duo looked at Heero, puzzled. "You look like that bothers you."
Heero's eyebrows moved into a quizzical position. "What are you talking about?"
Duo shrugged. "I don't know. These girls...they just don't do it for me."
Duo almost stuttered. He wanted to tell Heero, but he couldn't. Heero was an icicle. A cold-hearted, cold-blooded person incapable of feeling emotions like Duo. Duo was in love.
"Come on, Duo. Let's leave. We can go back to my place and forget get some work done on our science project." Heero plainly stated. He eyed some girls that were checking them out. "Let's get out of here before they attack."
Duo blushed at the idea of being all alone with Heero in the middle of the night. Luckily, the darkness of the gym didn't allow Heero to see. They left just as the first slow song began to play. Duo sighed. He wanted to dance with Heero, so much.

It sucked! I know it sucked! Please tell me how much it sucks though. Review it.
