Orange Juice and Saturday Mornings
Tony was walking out onto the balcony; he had some nice orange juice that he'd been obsessing over for the past two weeks. He smiled to himself and took a sip. He stopped when he saw Bruce standing there, looking like he was about to jump. He had his foot perched up on the railing, and his face looked… Nostalgic.
"What are you doing?" Tony asked in a worried tone. Bruce looked up and his deep brown eyes were puffy. He sniffled and faked a smile.
"Betty always loved the view…" He said sadly. Tony knew what it felt like to have your love ripped away, or lost. Pepper left him for Rogers, and although he couldn't blame her, he was still angry and sad. Lots of things still reminded him of Pepper so he could relate.
"Bruce…" Tony said in a whisper. "I really hope you weren't thinking of jumping. I need you man. We're Science Bro's. I know what it feels like to lose her… But you get over it. Trust me, especially if you have a friend." Tony said a little louder this time, he was surprised he could say anything sappy. He mentally chuckled. He noticed Bruce staring at him with surprise on his face.
"Tony… I… Jumping? Is that what you think I was going to do?" He smiled at Tony, the pain almost erasing from his face. Tony smiled back and walked towards Bruce.
"Nah, it just looked like you were going to. We both know it wouldn't work…" He frowned and stopped next to Bruce. He put his hand on his shoulder. "Plus we don't want to leave this amazing O.J." He smirked trying to lighten up the mood. "Would we now?" He said playfully.
Bruce smirked back; it looked kind of odd because of his puffy eyes. "Not at all Stark." Bruce picked up a glass he brought out with him earlier and sipped it. He had also been obsessed with the orange drink. "And don't forget these glorious Saturday mornings." He winked and went back inside.
The End.
