Templar's Creed Inheritance

"Listen up Numbskull Berg has another mission of sorts for you." I touched my ear piece to listen closer to Agent De Costa and a new voice was heard through the radio. "After our success with Shay's memories we have decided to further show the Cormac family's saga and shove it down the Assassin's throats."

"That's right you are going back in the Animus, this time it is with Shay's grandson Eamon Nathaniel Cormac. Shay's son was born in Lisbon from one of the Sisters who he referenced repeatedly. We do not know the rest of his son's story and want to find it out before we reach Eamon. First we are going back in Shay's memories. So hop to it and maybe Melanie will like this enough for something."

I listened to what they said now with new purpose and determination after joining the Templar Order. It was exciting to know that all of Human history has a backstage and my family has been part of it.

I reached the animus and got plugged in. Before I started I looked down at the new watch on my wrist with a red cross in the face and smiled knowing I had a far nobler goal now then entertainment. The familiar Animus blocks and ground surrounded me again as I synchronized with Shay again. It was completed and I heard De Costa's voice "We are back in Lisbon, fortunately this time you will not be running for your life in any earthquakes."

"Indeed this seems to be after Versailles, the French Revolution is starting soon, now let's find out why he is back here." Shay was piloting the Morrigan once more but without Gist who died surprisingly a natural death in 1759 due to smallpox at least that is what history and Shay have been told.

His first mate now was one of the British Templars that survived the American Revolution and Connor Kenway's rampage of their numbers, He asked "Captain Cormac why are we here could our time not be better spent helping the Paris Rite?" Shay shook his head "No this Revolution of theirs that is coming is the Paris Rite alone. I have a personal matter that I think I deserve to attend to."

"Very well sir we will prepare the boat for you." He shouted and several sailors that now wore black and red scuttled around and grabbed one of the boats for Shay. Shay went back to the city that he failed so many years ago.

He smiled however when he saw how much of it was rebuilt, Shay always respected the Portuguese and their stubbornness and they certainly proved him right. That coupled with the Portuguese Rite that he had more than a small part in helping secure their position helped rebuild their capital.

As he walked through the city he bumped into a man in a black coat. Shay knew if it was an Assassin he would have died and cursed himself for his foolishness. "I am terribly sorry sir."

The man hid his face but he saw a smile "No need to worry Master Cormac, I am with the Rite here, we discovered your son here his name is Alfonso Patricio Silva. He fought in the Spanish Portuguese War and we learned of his background. After the war we had him sent here for debriefing, he was a Captain of a militia. He is drinking himself to death in one of the taverns up the road." The man in black pointed to one and Shay thanked him and walked away after both muttering "May the Father of Understanding guide you."

The tavern was aloud with drunk fools many of whom were disappointed over the failure of their war against Spain. One young man who had black hair and blue eyes stood on a table and spoke in Portuguese.

"Brothers a toast to all of those who died while the British did shit." Shay finally was beginning to understand the language and laughed to himself. "I bet that is my son." Someone shouted the man's name and he was correct.

The young angry officer walked to the bar and grabbed a drink from his friend as Shay walked towards him and spoke "Are you Alfonso?" He turned and looked at the old man "What's it to you?"

"I am your father."

Suddenly a fist went forward and Shay fell to the ground. Perhaps he should have started with something else. "Why should I believe you? Even if you are were my father where you my entire life." Shay stood up slowly and explained himself "I will explain everything to you soon…" Shay noticed how hostile the room was getting and looked around. His eyes widened when he recognized a small symbol on the bar tenders belt.

The man smiled and lifted up a pistol and fired only a few moments after Shay ducked and the bullet ripped through a bystander. Shay and Alfonso hid behind a table as the bar erupted in fighting and he saw several looking for him including the bar tender "Why are they trying to kill you?"

Shay pulled out his pistols and fired two shots taking down two of the Assassin gangsters "Not just me watch out." Shay pushed Alfonso aside and caught one of their dart ropes with his pistol. Alfonso leapt forward with a knife and stabbed the man.

Shay was sure they were not true Assassins or this fight would be more difficult. He saw a man fall down from a thrown knife and he ripped at the dead man's clothes taking a huge piece and handing it to his son "wear this." Alfonso finally did not question him and wrapped it around his mouth as his father stood up.

Shay grabbed one of his grenades and tossed it violently and the room erupted with yellow gas as they ran outside. Everyone who was previously fighting were knocked out by the gas and the Assassin's did not follow them further.

They reached the port and Alfonso looked at his father with a stern face"I think you owe me an explanation." Shay lifted his arm and showed him the Morrigan "Once we return to my ship and then my manor in New York you will learn the full truth son."
