She wants to stay here, in her arms, feeling her warmth forever. But in just a couple of hours the train to New Heaven will leave and she needs to be in it; and anyway she knows that Rachel will say that this is a mistake.

It's not a mistake.

It the fifth time it happens actually.

Every time, when she makes the trip to New York they go out to drink with Rachel's NYADA friends, they drink too much and end up in Rachel and Kurt's place making love till the next morning.

(Poor Kurt would be forced to find a guy for the night who would offer his place... he actually thanks them for this)

When the morning comes Rachel would wake, look at Quinn sleeping next to her wake her and tell her it's time to go to take her train back. Then in the very busy station she would tell her that what they did is a mistake and Quinn will refuse to make a spectacle and will say that Rachel's right.

She then spends all two hours to Yale crying in the train.

Four times that the pattern repeats itself but now is Quinn the one that wakes early, in the warm arms of Rachel and she doesn't know what to do.

A part of her wants to invent a girlfriend a perfect and worldly woman that swept her of her feet, with the hope that Rachel acts in jealousy and dares to make claim of her. Dares to tell her that it's not a mistake, that what they're doing is something that they both want, and need, and crave.

Her past self would have laughed at her. The great Quinn Fabray a sad pathetic looser in love with a diva that only wants her when drunk.

Quinn gets out from her arms and goes for her overnight bag, after using the bathroom and setting her clothes away she's in the couch in the living area waiting for something, she still doesn't know what.

It's half an hour until Rachel appears with only a t-shirt on a desperate look on her face that disappears as soon as she sees her.

"I thought you left" the diva says trying to fix her hair.

"I wouldn't have left without saying goodbye." She doesn't want to tell the singer that this is maybe the last time she would come to New York that she can't spend more time doing whatever it is they are doing. She doesn't say it but she's thinking it, and unbeknownst to her Rachel can read it in her eyes.

"You are not coming back are you?"

Rachel need confirmation of this, maybe her errors in the past can be corrected. Maybe she can tell Quinn that none of those past times where a mistake, that the mistake was denying it. Denying them.

She's been so afraid of losing Quinn's friendship and now she realizes that she's going to lose her anyway. She has seen the pain in hazel eyes every time she gave her little speech in the train station, but she thought it was for the best. So much time wanting to be her friend and she didn't want to miss that, not even with the possibility of something better, something amazing, looming on the horizon.

"Would you want me to come back? Because I will, I lost all sense of pride Rachel and if you ask I would bleed out my heart for you. It's your choice; it will always be you choice"

Quinn knows it's a dramatic speech but Rachel understand drama better than reality, and what she said it's not so far from the truth.

Rachel closes her eyes and breathes deeply; she has a decision to make. Keep everything like it is and play with Quinn heart, let her go or… or not let her go and change the parameters of their relationship, jump off the cliff of friendship and be something more.

Dark brown meet hazel.

"I'm still sleepy, come back to bed, we will talk about me going to Yale next week at breakfast."

Quinn follows her back to bed taking off most of her clothes on the way to get ready to sleep a little bit longer. It's not the perfect answer, but it's a start and that's something.

End.
