Present
"Alright, kids, it's time to give out your presents!" the teacher, Mrs. Hikari, said. The five-year olds ran around, excited, trying to exchange gifts to their friends or find their gifts in the first place.
Roxas stood nearby the tree, trying to avoid the stampede of children. In his hands he clutched a small, poorly-wrapped box. His eyes searched the room, but he couldn't find her, so he sighed, staying where he was.
"Hey, Roxas!" greeted Xion from behind him. He jumped and spun around, hiding the gift behind his back. Heat flooded to his cheeks as the ravenette giggled at him.
"X-X-Xion!" He bit his lip, then asked, "W-What are you doing h-here?"
Xion held up a present. "Merry Christmas!" He blinked, staring at the box.
"Well? Open it, silly!"
Putting his own gift in his back pocket, he took the parcel and ripped it open. Inside he found a framed picture of himself, Xion, and their six-year old friend, Axel, all sitting on the bench near the Clock Tower eating sea salt ice cream. All three were making ridiculous faces at the camera.
Roxas grinned. "T-Thanks, Xi!" He gave her a quick hug. "I love it!"
Xion smiled. "You're welcome!"
Nervously, he took out his present and handed it to her. "F-F-For y-you..." he mumbled, his face flaring up again. He rubbed the back of his neck as she took it and looked at it curiously.
Xion carefully opened it, eyes widening when she saw it. Inside the small box was a golden necklace with 'R+X' on it. Roxas took it out and placed it around her neck.
"I-I... Wow, Roxas..." She hugged him tightly, pecking his already-deep-red cheek. "Thank you so much!"
Roxas grinned sheepishly. "I-It's nothing..." He hugged her back. "Merry Christmas, Xion."
