What is up guys? CameronNinjaDragons here with another movie review! This one, however, is about Suicide Squad!
Last Saturday night I went and saw the movie with my stepbrother, the owner of the YouTube channel ProgrammedGeeks. And to be honest, it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. But before I go over the bad, I'll go over the good.
As the several trailers led us to believe, Harley Quinn was the main baddie of the movie. But surprisingly, the main male baddie was Deadshot, though the trailers led us to believe that it was the Joker (more on that later).
True to the comics, Harley is, for lack of a better term, fucking CRAZY. Though she did have to be toned down a little for the rating of the movie to be PG-13.
The movie included short backstories for most of the villains, and it even included Katana from Mortal Combat, DC Universe.
Now for the cons.
The Joker was actually only in the movie for about ten minutes total, which was a HUGE shock to me. If you would like to know why, there are several articles on the subject. The movie also made it seem like the Joker was killed halfway through the movie, only to reveal that he actually survived the helicopter crash at the end of the movie.
Harley Quinn seemed to switch between a New York accent, and a light Boston accent several times in the movie. It was actually rather strange, but it didn't to anything to change the movie itself.
Now, the main antagonist of the movie was Enchantress, and her brother, whom we never learned the name of. Two characters did end up dying, El Diablo, and Slipknot (though we only saw him for about two minutes).
Overall, the movie was almost entirely action, with a few more humorous moments. And with it's open ending, it could lead to several good spin-off fanfictions.
That's all I have to say about Suicide Squad for today. CameronNinjaDragons, signing off.
