AN: I own nothing. It would be nice if I were getting paid for this, but I'm not.

Just a quick thing I thought of and wrote down. Basically what I was thinking of was, what if Merlin found out something happened while he was possessed by the fomorroh, and had a similar reaction to ours?

Gwen helped Merlin clean up the mess, smiling fondly. She was still helping him out with some of his chores after the mess with the fomorroh, and in his hurry to make up for lost time, he had spilled a pitcher of wine all over Arthur's floor.

"You sure you're feeling better?" she asked in a slightly stern voice.

"Gwen, he spent two days in the tavern, I'm sure he's fine," Arthur said from his seat at his desk. He looked up from his parchment in time to see them exchange strangely significant looks. He frowned.

"What?"

"Nothing," Merlin said hastily, before changing the subject. "Did you even consider giving me those days off? I did have a mace put through my chest, after all!"

Arthur sighed in response. "Gwen tried to help you out with your duties to give her time to rest, but you wouldn't let her. You said you were fine."

"I did? I guess I did say that, didn't I."

Arthur snorted. "Really, Merlin. You were hit in the chest, not in the head."

The servant rolled his eyes. "Such a great friend you are."

The king raised his eyebrow. "Friend? Don't let that hug go to your head Merlin, I was just relieved I wouldn't have to put up with George anymore."

Merlin froze in his wiping of the floor. "What?"

"You heard me," Arthur replied in a somewhat defiant tone. Merlin probably just wanted to hear the admission that he had actually hugged the servant a second time.

"You hugged me?"

Arthur looked at him, confused. "Don't tell me you're loosing your memory now?"

To his surprise, Merlin spun around to look at Gwen.

"You never said he actually hugged me!"

Gwen looked ready to laugh. "I didn't know. I'm as surprised as you."

Merlin made a sound of exasperation. "The one time he actually does it...do you know how long I've been waiting for that to happen?"

"What are you on about?" Arthur snapped, annoyed that the two of them clearly knew something he didn't.

"Well, Arthur, the thing is...Merlin doesn't actually remember it," Gwen said, a smile still on her face.

Arthur eyed them suspiciously. "Why wouldn't he?"

They looked at each other again. "It's...a long story," Merlin replied.

"I've got time," the king said irritably. "Explain."

The two servants looked at each other and shrugged.

"Why not? I guess it does involve him."

"What involves me?!" the royal said impatiently.

Merlin smirked slightly. "Well, for starters, I wasn't in the tavern, so your punishment was completely unfair."
