Chapter 1

(A/N: Back with a new story.. hope you enjoy it)

A normal glossy evening in the city.

The brown haired boy we know so well is sitting at a restaurant. Of course, the man in blackish suit can not be called a 'boy' anymore, but his complexion leaves no scope to guess his age more than 30.

Kanata Saionji. A successful doctor. A successful father. He is now seated here, on his daughter's 18th birthday celebration. It went a little messy inside the party hall, so he came out.

I must say she's got her mother's nature.

Thought Kanata, staring at the hall. He never, since childhood, was an out-type. The temple's solitary height is like, inhibited within him. He sighed. Everything is so OK, perfect, is not it ? Yes, it really is, why is he bothering ? Why all the lone moments speaks of sadness?

He tried to relax. And it was just then.

######################################

Miyu was coming back from shopping. Doctor advised some walking at this age, so she does not use car for evening shopping. The school job going well, Jerry's promotion- everything- and her son- really, everything is good. Real good. Still sometimes, damn this memory thing-

She stopped by her favourite restaurant. It's a special day, homemade is a must; but need some special things too.

She stepped in through the glass door, and with the sight of a familiar face her heart skipped a beat.

Is that- God, Could it be-?

######################################

The man on the other side stood up. Miyu could not but rush to him.

"Excuse me, Kanata Saionji-?"

"Yep you got it" He tried to be cool.

"Can't you recognize ? It's me! Miyu!" Miyu whistled in amazement.

"Oh yeah,That am seeing.." Kanata blinked twice, finding words, "Long time no see. How's your family?"

Crap. Why I have to sound like an ex-lover ?

"Yep, good going. HE is a sort of businessman out here, and my son- he is turning 18 today, so I came to-"

"Good coincidence!" Kanata could not hide his astonishment. "My daughter, too!"

"What?" Miyu exclaimed, "When did you marry ?"

"You thought I would never?" Kanata had a little smile, "Well, for your information, it is about nineteen years now.. You know the girl, Akira."

God! Why did that hurt?

"Excuse me a second" Miyu went for placing an order, then came back. "It would take time, would you like to have a walk? Have so many things to know back at Heiomachi.."

"You really sure?" Kanata said, "No problem, but Akira would be worried.."

They at last came out. Both, somewhere, needed to talk about old friends, those old memories...

And it evidently turned to Ruu and Wanya.

"I wonder.. you know that time I used to feel it's not the end.. we will meet again.." Miyu said lightly, sitting on a bench in the park.

"Yep, Life sucks on hopes.." Kanata answered softly, staring at the moon.

"Here moon is not so bright.. pollution is.."

"Hm, Heiomachi sky is so clear.. though at late night it sometimes gets.."

"So..Do you still gaze clouds ?" Suddenly asked Miyu.

Kanata's eyes got widened, and cheeks a little red, when he asked back, "and you still believe stargazing?"

"Eh?" Miyu was taken aback, the moon's magic got her over or something like that, as she foud herself asking back again, "Do you stlill love pumpkin?"

"Do you still suck in cooking?"

"Do you still read manga all-day?"

"Do you still see ghosts every night under bed?"

"Do you still forget your socks while going office?"

"Do you still take hours to straight up that one curled hair?"

"Are you still a cold baka?"

"Are you still over-emotional?"

It went on like a game between two children, until both were exhausted, thinking the same:

You remember..!

They stared at each other. The same eyes. So many things changes in love, even the personality too.. but some things can turn all the old selves out of you. These are the things never change.

"Oh, it's late, I have to go-" suddenly, aware of her position, Miyu jumped up.

What an odd.. at this age am falling for a..

"Shit, me too" Kanata looked at the wrist watch, "Bye, then.."

"Yep, your loves are waiting.." smiled Miyu pathetically, "and mine too.."

Suddenly something happened to Kanata, his body stiffened, and he grabbed her hand who was ready to run.

Miyu looked back, "Kanata?"

"Hold on..We still have a small distance to go together.." Kanata whispered, "forgot your order?"

"Oh shit! I totally.." she got red out of embarrassment, "Sorry am still the same.. inattentive, Even HE scolds at me sometimes"

"And that's what I miss.."

"Kanata?" Miyu's eyes widened, "What are you speaking about? Let's go. Akira would be worried.. I bet she wouldn't like her love to walk with some girl else.."

Kanata stopped on his way. This made Miyu stop, too.

"You said love?" Kanata's voice was cold.

"..."

"You said some girl?" he asked rough.

"..."

"You want to.. say love?"

Kanata turned back.

"Love is big, but hell, life is larger."

Miyu stood still. She could not sense what was going on. She saw Kanata facing her again.

He came closer. More closer, just face to face.

"You know, in there it's four rooms" He pointed to his heart. "I love my family, my job, my friends, and everything round life. But-"

He came nearer, looked in her eyes, and took a deep breath.

"But the fourth one, it's reserved for a certain emerald eyed blonde forever, nobody has the permission to enter here.. except a certain emotional idiot boyish girl.. none but a girl I.."

He could not finish it, Miyu was in his embrace, her body shaking with the silent cries.

"Why? Why? Why? Why did you not.. And why you said now? WHY?"

Kanata just whispered on her ears, "We both have lives of our own. We can't go back to change what happened, and make others life associated with us bad, just for our own sake.."

"I am sorry! I am sorry!" Miyu was still crying as Kanata was rubbing her back, "I thought you never would come! But believe me, I waited all my life for this moment.. for you! And now.. when we met-" her eyes were teary again, Kanata, too, found his vision going blur.

"We can not leave our family for personal selfishness.. Ruu would cry at it! He always wanted us to be best mamma and papa ever!"

"Yes, Ruu would cry!" Miyu tried to wipe her tears, but in vain, "But.. can not this moment be a little longer?"

Miyu's cell rang.

"Geez, its him.."

"Go, life's calling.." smiled Kanata.

"Huh? From when you become a poet?"

"You know when a boy does-" Kanata smirked.

A city, a sudden meeting, like meeting of two weaves on an ocean. Tomorrow he will be back to Japan, and she will be busy again with works.

Love is big. Life is larger.

(A/N: Urgh. Um, Reviews please..)
