The Queen of Spades that never breaks,

if you miss your steps, she will take you to death depths.

And the Knave of Blades with a scythe smile her makes.

A dark shadow that hovers, an angel of doom, the lives she hates away he takes.

'Off sadness and sorrow!', he says, 'my Queen laugh to has!'

And the blood flows in five equal rows. Red, red, red is the color of fate.

It tastes bitter, it tastes stale, just like the dream they made.

And dance she will in bloody rain, when he splits in half your brain.

'Don't cry, please smile, my Queen,

I am your shield, I am your sword,

and at your feet I shall lie the whole world.

So let it burn, let it drown.

So you can have my body, you can have my soul, as long as you I can own.'

And when Queen says: 'kill them all!'

The Knave with his scythe brings universe to fall.

.

The Queen of Spades that never breaks,

she sits alone and cries in dark corner.

Lost in grief, mad from sadness,

in solitude she waits until returns her heart's owner.

.

The Queen of Spades, look as she breaks.

While the world away slips, in his hand not the scythe but her hand he keeps.

In the darkness, hear her cry

as she asks the spirits why, why, why?

.

The Queen of Spades, the phantom of nightmares.

Call her evil, call her dark, in your eyes fear will spark.

In the middle of the night she will come to throw a blight.

But feel no fear child, she is not a threat.

A Knave of Blades with a scythe looming above her,

he is the death you met.

And he says: 'with my unbreakable will I shall make the blood spill!

This is our destiny, to sow a true mutiny.

At your feet, shattered, the whole world I lie.

So please, one more time, let me see you smile!'

Through the looking glass, watch as time may pass.

Divided yet together, by the wretched fates entwined forever.

As her struggles turn to vain, he screams, 'I will find you again!

Through the space, through the time, I will make you once more mine!

Let collapse this world of vile, I will make you forever smile!'

This is my first submission (and probably the last), but I won't ask anyone to be soft with me :) So you can flame and criticize to your heart's content.

I wrote it many years ago, when I was still disappointed with the end of manga. It was partially inspired by the 'riddle' in Queen of Hurts.

I'm actually terrible with poems, I don't understand most of metaphors and symbolism and frankly... I consider them mostly boring and incomprehensible. But alas!, that's pretty much how I see the twisted bonds between Jack, Lacie, Will of Abyss, Break, Oz and Alice.

I sincerely hope someone beside me will understand it :D
