Wilhelmina watched as the students – both new and returning – all gathered on the platform with their parents. She stayed close to her mother's side, scared that she would get lost in such a large crowd of over-excited children and their taxed guardians. She was about to begin her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and whilst she was looking forward to her time there a great deal this would also be the longest – and only – time she had been away from her parents. It was only because of her mother's gentle encouragements that she began to make her way over to the Hogwarts Express, hauling her trunk with her.
As she was attempting to work out how she could manoeuvre her trunk into the luggage rack without having to go back to ask her parents for help, a young girl came up behind her. She had her long black hair tied up in a lose bun, large green eyes blinked at her from their frame of dark lashes, and her robes – unmarked by any house colours – showed her to be a first year, too. She smiled down at Wilhelmina kindly.
"Would you like some help with that?"
