I know this place
The beach where me and Phoebe would race
My favourite place for a moonlight stroll
Just beyond the hill where my friends would roll
I stand to look upon the sea
Remembering how special this is to me
I continue to look for my animal guide
I glance over to see it on my left side
A small lizard on a sandy log
I can only just see it through the fog
I smile at the gecko in the sand
And slowly reach out my hand
My finger tips gently touching his toes
Still slightly amazed it was me he chose
He watches me with a beady eye
While thinking of questions I let out a sigh
I can see him waiting for me to ask for guidance
Yet still we sit here in silence
He is meant to be my counsellor
But right now my feelings are a blur
I look across the beach its like one of my diaries
Filled with hundreds of my happy memories
Carefully lifting my hand to stroke his head
Still so many troubles left unsaid
Pulled out of my vision by the chime of the door
I quickly jump up off the floor
I have been ordered to have some rest
But I will see my gecko on my next vision quest
